If the enemy team is about to cap, I seriously do NOT CARE if you are going to end up getting obliterated by a team of six. If the enemy team is literally about to cap, go and touch the point.
The point is to stall and use up as much time as possible.
I despise people saying into the mic or in text “if I did, then I would just get destroyed.”
We don’t care! If they are going to cap, you GET ON THE POINT

I had my whole team run towards the enemy side on Busan at match begin, with me alone on the point with three enemies.
I don’t understand why no one ever rushes to point first, then go kill things? Or the very least split into two groups. One goes to point the other goes to stall.

Ehh. If they’re gonna cap completely, then sure I suppose you may throw your lifeless body onto the point to give us a few seconds to stall.
But if they’re going to take it from us and aren’t at that 90%, Id rather you fall back and not stagger us. The extra 2 seconds on the point isn’t worth weakening our next push, unless we’re going into overtime.

If all of you are still exiting spawn then why does it matter? My two extra seconds mean nothing in that case.
That’s how games get snowballed
I’m allergic to the payload
It is rarely optimal to go to point first as you cannot capture it initially, whoever wins the first teamfight caps it. So if 3 enemies tried to take the point and you were with the team instead, well, it would have been a 6 versus 3 and the 3 people on point would likely have staggered themselves. On some points, namely the enclosed ones, it is better to just set up on point. That being said, if your team is splintering and nobody is coordinating… well, you are just in a bad state regardless.

Unless the enemy team is close to winning, stalling is highly unrecommended. You’ll just be giving the enemy team ult charge for the next fight.
This has always been an issue… Maybe if they made the point super shiny and more enticing people would naturally gravitate towards it

If it is QP and there is 30 second left or enemy is at 95%, whats the point the game is over i will kust sit down and wait for the defeat, conesting at that point is just delaying the inevitable
Eh. I’ll only touch the point if there is 3 or less on the point. If it’s all 6 it’ll be better to let them cap but get our team in a more advantageous position to wipe them out. Er, assume we’re talking KOTH. If we’re talking 2CP I’d only do that if I’m near Point A to do that with and die might be more advantageous than trying to go to Point B (as in it’s too far) or it’s Point B and maybe we can hold it just long enough for someone to do something. As for Assault it’s generally not worth it when you can just pull back and set up a strong defense.

To the OP:
I find this thread, ironically, funny. As you just chastised “Hammond Mains” for doing this same thing in another thread.
Wow…
So, which is it? Do you want us to cap the point, or “wait” for our team mates (in your example, 3 players), before we cap the point? You can’t have it both ways.
