I’m not happy with this at all. The zenyatta with the all black body and red clothes looked way better.
Who changed this, why did they change it? Seriously, if someone did this because they think it looks good, then make sure you go and change the widowmaker’s colour scheme too.
Can we get token refunds for this?

it now looks like the actual owl skin, and it’s in the patchnotes

That’s not what it looked like at all when they showed Neko’s stats. The skin was large and prominently put on the screen. All black Zenyatta.
This doesn’t change the fact that they changed something that has been one way since it was revealed in the actual game itself.

can someone post a picture?

I just took this screenshot:
This is the skin from 4 months ago when they announced the team:
And I guess this was the old one? Looks like they inverted the colors by accident and just now fixed it:

anyways, it changed for the better and is a real owl skin consistent with the others

They should definitely give you the option to refund it, yeah.
IMO looks nicer though.

not…really…the skin is how it is now advertised
He didn’t buy this skin, he bought a different skin.
I don’t see how this is relevant, is the argument that Blizzard should reserve a refund to those who’d take it because an advertisement exists?

Everyone except you appears to be missing the point.
I don’t care if this is how it looks in OWL, nor if this was advertised at some point long time ago.
The skin IN GAME when I looked through the list, was the black one – the skin has been the black one since they added the owl tab with all the skins. I strongly prefer the black one, others may not, but I don’t see how any of this is relevant.
The point is I purchased a skin with the expectation that that’s how it was going to be… and it was. Then it was switched.
Suppose all those pink/sky blue skins got suddenly changed, or whatever team you have skins for… fair thing to do?
“But real teams in real life change their jerseys”
You also don’t have to send a jersey back in to get the new one once they do. You can get both if you’re really a die hard fan.

Dynasty, Spitfire and more teams changed the Zenyatta colors too.

Some of us pick these skins for the teams and for the color scheme, but now they changed because yes, in most cases to worst color schemes (mostly with black head)… Great .

This is concerning, I heard they changed a few others too. I’m quite wary now of buying any OWL skins. Feels a bit bait-and-switchy for me. Tokens aren’t cheap and you don’t get very much free ones for watching OWL. I’m with you, OP, this feels a bit underhanded and I’d want a refund also.

This is disappointing. I’m glad I didn’t buy this skin yet. The old version was my favorite Zenyatta skin in the game, it looked insanely cool.
The new one just isn’t the same.

Bump for support, I was considering that Zen skin too. Time to check the ones I did buy. =/

New one looks waaaaay better
imagine buying t-shirt and next day you wake up it’s now actually a pair of shorts. And a paper with patch note lies on it.

it also says “no refunds”

Sure, but it did not say ‘subject to change’. I hate the new Toronto skin, I don’t like when his metallic parts are matte bright colors. I hadn’t bought this one yet thankfully, but I 100% understand why the OP wants a refund. It’s not just buyers remorse, he no longer has the thing he paid for.

I never saw the ad. I bought it because I liked the way it looked IN-GAME. Are you [expletive] kidding me with this.
