Torbjorn is my main, I rarely play with anyone else so since he is disabled for ranked matchs. Im not much use to the team.
I have a great idea! Instead of disabling a whole character for what ever reason… Why not just fix the problem!
People say it’s because of a bug allowing torbjorn to double overload but I have yet to experience this bug, he seems fine to me.
Yes it should be fixed by now. Torb is great, quickplay kinda a vibe right now with the faster queues, Kiriko and Torb.
Ugh can you not? Take the training wheels off and show some pride in your gaming skills…torb gets no respect and he never will as long as he is FREE VALUE
Both bastion and torb’s issues could likely be fixed super easily. Not sure why it’s taking this long.

Bastion - Remove the ability to also use the ult key to fire Bastion’s mortar shells, boom that one is fixed.
Torb - Make pressing the ability key do literally nothing until after the overload cooldown has started, got that one too.
At the very least these would be temporary solutions instead of turning the character off.

This is a massive self report here. His turret is super easy to deal with and Torb himself is the one dishing out the lion’s share of the damage.
Oh, it will be really interesting to see what rank you get to with him then.
Because one of the things I note, is the people who say “free value” can’t actually play the heroes they say of that.
They then make excuses of why they can’t/won’t play them and basically look like idiots.
Which is another reason he is free value…not only does he have good dmg but he turns a 5v5 into a 6v5 with 100% for the turret accuracy for the team THAT NOW HAS THE NUMBERS ADVANTAGE without even needing the first pick.

Umm my record with torb is 65 kills 20+k dmg and a killstreak of 34 my guy…and i have less than 3 hours on him on my one and only account that has 2500hrs in playtime total.
The fact that Torb is still locked for ranked is dumb. No communication on when that’s going to be lifted and when Bastion will be added back is depressing.
If you have issues taking out a stationary torrent that takes a very little set amount of damage than your the one with no skill my guy. Most the time my torrent gets trashed, overload is the bread and butter, increased shot speed, speed boost and armor to get in and out of situation quick. Every character requires skill, understanding and a certain play type. Torbjorn is mines, don’t be a hater.

I’ve had a lot more fun without Torb in my lobbies honestly, but yeah they need to fix him and Bastion soon.
Also weird that they removed Bastion entirely from QP and comp but left Torb in? Like, “ehhhh he’s only a LITTLE busted, we’ll keep him here because that’s appropriate, not comp tho”
I’ve gotten a 50+ kill streak with mercy, congrats on the good game though.
I keep seeing Torbs doing that in qp, or at first they lose then they switch to Torb and do that…sadly so much that I want him disabled until fixed…

They had three years worth of supposed daily testing as well as numerous alphas and betas.
The fact that this bug with Torb as well as the bug with Bastion, not to mention all the other issues currently plaguing the game (like there still being no Competitive statistics for this season, at least not on Xbox - how do you break something as basic as stats that’s worked fine for years?!) is disgraceful for a company that’s been around as long as Blizzard has.
I also miss Torbjörn, just like the engineer from TF2 the way he plays changes the dynamics of any game, it creates a backline you can retreat to, on defense you lock down areas and on attack you essentially minimise the swing of any fight by having your turret cover flanks and allowing you to go back.
It really shows right now with so few defensive DPS in the game (no one plays symmetra sadly) becasue every fight is so insanely swingy, you can’t really retreat into a backline to reset, and if you lose an inch the enemy team takes a mile and usually wins the entire round because of the momentum from the swing.
The game really needs more defensive dps like Torbjörn and Symmetra to slow the game and swingyness down considerably.
