The writers make Ana sound so motherly and sympathetic that they want us to think she’s still a good mother and also pardon her every wrongdoings. The writers also didn’t show us Fareeha & Sam side of the story which make most of us jump into “Ana good, Fareeha bad” bandwagon.
In the opposite, they make Torbjorn mostly cared about his turrets more than Brigitte’s well being.
Lore-wise, Fareeha looked up and respected Ana like a hero but Ana never respected Fareeha’s wishes, showing no support to her dreams meanwhile Ana continued on doing whatever she wanted to. Ana only had a change of heart on Fareeha’s dreams because her life hit on the rock bottom (losing an eye; hiding or living on the run due to being one of the world’s most wanted)
For Torbjorn, he allowed Brigitte do Engineering, letting her keeping a cat. He also allowed Brigitte follow Reinhardt’s adventures. (In one of OW1 interactions, Torbjorn defended Reinhardt from Mercy’s disapproval on dragging Brigitte around on his adventures). In Gothenburg PVE, Torbjorn was proud of Brigitte’s skill and performance that he believed she would be an exceptional Overwatch leader.
Another extra points for Torbjorn is that he adopted the Bastion. He initially felt uneasy, berating the Bastion not to play with animals but slowly he grew on and treated Bastion like his own son, giving it some armor upgrades.
The writers made Torbjorn an omnic racist in-game, but the comics revealed Torbjorn showed no hostility to the Bastion and even told the agents to call off their hunt because the Bastion behaved so different from others. In Gothenburg PVE, Torbjorn defended Bastion from Reinhardt.
Torbjorn helped the design of Bastion units, thus he believed he’s part of the reason for the damage done in the Omnic Crisis. It was very responsible of Torbjorn who decided to keep the Bastion instead of letting it wander around and possibly get itself and others hurt / killed.
