Torb: the most average hero in Overwatch 2

  • never meta
  • always viable
  • you barely notice when he’s on your team
  • you barely notice when he’s on the enemy team
  • in the most common role
  • Has a few quirks to his kit but mostly centered around basic gunplay
  • gets balance changes at a normal rate and it’s usually just small tweaks
  • doesn’t get a ton of skins but doesn’t get shafted either
  • Doesn’t have a huge role in story stuff but shows up an okay amount just by being one of the original OW members

This dude is just like there existing at this point. Probably getting a bit too bland honestly.

I do think they need to make his turret a more active part of the kit again. Not even necessarily make it stronger just make it something he has to think about more like how Illari has to constantly be managing pylon. I thought that one joke patch change they did where overload buffs his turret was a decent idea but that iteration was way too powerful

Best hero to play drunk , you can even get a pog while being dead

The Pylon that is drop and forget, with the only condition being that it’s not in LoS of the enemy team? Torb’s turret takes infinitely more brain power to use.

if your pylon is always in a safe location, you are throwing away value

Not true at all. The best way to get value with it is to have it in a place where it can heal the maximum amount of teammates or an uncontestable flank with poke, and be virtually unbreakable by virtue of the fact it’s out of LoS of the enemy. If it’s too aggressively positioned it can just be broken, in which case your up-time will suffer. That’s kinda Illari 101.

As a top13 who got there in part by playing torb. He is a sleeper and people just dont know how to play him, how to utilize his speedboost, firerate accel, auto reload,

They dont know how to use his ult efficiently at all, they dont know how to support the team positoioning with turret placement,

they dont know how to bait enemies or aim

The arcing projectile, the short hitbox, the ragebait potential…

Torb is one of the highest dps in game with high speed, high hp, fast charging huge area denial ult. Tank bustrr, big 1v1 potential, and sombra counter…idk what else to tell you but he is A teir imo

Kind of reminds me of rammatra, really fast and likes to spin around you as if you can’t see him

And when you get him into 1 shot territory suddenly has triple the armour of his hp

“Average” would mean that he is balanced but he is just F tier.
