Wait wait, he doued with a GM tank on fresh accounts? Hahaha okay that explains it than. A GM tank on fresh accounts should easily be able to carry most players from fresh to 2-3 tiers above their rank. Than you do with a support of course they will just stomp. By the time the face any competition due to fresh account MM they’ll have the better teammates anyways. It is like if they were playing a top 100 they would have top 300 teammates and the top 100s maybe top 1000-2000 teammates.

That’s because he was Silver 1, the others might start with a fresh account, but they usually are at least gold. I’ll take them seriously when they will start with a VERY OLD account with a very bad history, and Bronze 5. Then we’re gonna see if they have such a great time!
It would give them like 5 really hard games, but a GM should still win them all or at least 3 or 4 of them. They would be the kind of games only a GM could carry though and not your average plat or diamond player. Then after that the system would allow them the same ez path to GM. You need a crazy amount of escape velocity to get out of elo hell.

Nobody has ever argued that you can win 100% of your games if you are good, in lower ranks. If they did, they are delusional.
The argument always was that good players will win most of the time in lower ranks, and will contribute a great part to it.
Neither of these are true statements.
The only things it proves is that the player believes it should be easy to do and it’s a rewarding time investment. Either because YouTube pushes the content so it’s easy money, or that they like the challenge.
i dont care what the incentive is, smurfing is wrong, and it always will be. whether you are just practiceing or doing a gm challenge.
because it puts you, an experienced player, against new players. Its not a fair fight in anyway. even if you are learning a new hero, you still know the game and know the maps and so on. it doesnt make you equal to anyone on the field, you are far ahead.

Starting a fresh account and seeing how long it takes you to get to GM isn’t smurfing though. So it is fine. UR2GM is just bottom of the barrel lazy content farming.

If you were a new player, sure. They’re not new players, they just changed their game handle. I.e. changed their jersey number.

Yeah. I get where you are coming from. But that is where games have MMR/SR and other things.
Levelling my new account, I was playing with people in my main ranks in about 4/5 games.
And the games before that, was just 10 new accounts playing together. As soon as I got to ranked, I was predicted pretty much the same ranks as before, and ended up within a couple of divisions of where my main is (was the whole point of the new account to see if that still happened),
