3 years now and competitive is still a toxic trainwreck consisting of throwers who are mad they can’t play whatever they want. Quickplay consists of 5 DPS teams where the game is lost during hero select screen. We need role queue and we need it NOW.

Last match i had: Reaper was my tank of choice.
4-5 minute queue times suggest the game is dead. Even if it wasn’t- it would make the game much better. Why, you don’t want the game to be better? All you do is defend Blizzard. They killed Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, Diablo, screwed up Hearthstone but sure- defend them.

Jeff seems to have a different opinion on this matter if you listen to the interviews he gave this year.
It’s not the majority of games.
Though my subjective feeling is, that at least 1/3 of the games are very frustrating, because the matchmaker thought it was a good idea to put 2 Mercy one-tricks and 4 DPS mains up against a balanced 2/2/2 or 3/3 in which everyone is comfortable and happy with their role. And that is an issue that really needs to be fixed.

There are different levels of game survival.
Overwatch has reached the point of no one giving a damn about their rank, their game or their team and mostly just playing whatever they want instead of trying.
Next step will be the final remaining people who actually are willing to flex, becoming selfish as well and giving up and quitting the game entirely.
And finally, Death of overwatch.

If enough DPS quit there will be normal queue times again

If role Q is coming they will definitely make some game design changes which encourage people to play Tank/Support more often.

If they add role queue, they will probably add a flex role like in lfg, which just fills for whatever is needed in the matchmaker.
Thats not what flex does.
Considering the majority of the playerbase are DPS, there wont be enough people playing at all.
Which they also believed would happen in WoW, yet nothing has changed in the 14 years of the game.
And in that game, the role queue is 1 tank 1 healer and 3 dps.
DPS have queue times of normally up to an hour, 20 minutes minimum, healers at a minute, 2 max, and tank instant.
Which they also did in WoW by literally giving you more gold and prizes and people still dont buy into that.
Not only this but they cant really incentivize people playing main tank or main support. In the supports, you would either get Ana’s that can’t aim or focus on DPS, or Moiras that just DPS, and no DPS player is going to flex to Mercy.

It should but it won’t happen, DPS players would cry their eyes out because of long queue times. That they can queue for all 3 rolls and flex a bit is something that a lot of them have never figured out yet, despite the 3 years the game has been out.
I actually started to try a lot of other games because of the QP 5 player dps, it’s like people don’t even want to progress, Mordhau might be my new go to.

Wonder who they’ll side with? The DPS players who are against 2-2-2 or as a way to get rid of GOATS in OWL 
?
Well a simpler method would be 3maximumDPS-2maximumHealers.
Which would accomplish the removal of GOATs/TripleHealer, and a minimum 1 Tank.
It’s just quickplay.
i feel like people that care about well-rounded matches would just use LFG.
then again, MM is so bad, you can’t really have good matches either way you look at it
