top 500 support think genji ult is kinda useless without nano

his tier list, from the best to the worst:

Game Changing:
Bap Window, Rally, Super Charger, EMP, Graviton, Duplicate

Impactful:
NanoBoost, Bob, Riptire, Sound Barier, Mei Ult, Valkriye, Coalesence, Primal Rage, Transcendece, Sym Wall, Ball Mine, Torb Ult

Somewhat Impactfull:
Dva Bomb, Hanzo Ult, Shatter, Whole Hog, Pulse Bomb

Situational:
Bastion Ult, Doom Ult, Dragonblade (become Impactfull with Nano), DeadEye, Reaper Ult, Widow Ult

Useless: Visor

he rate Dragonblade without nano is Situational and easy to counter
with Nano Boost Genji Ult is Impactfull and still cant even compete Bap Window LMAO

TLDR: Genji Ult is Trash, and he cant be buffed because Nano make it Good, So Genji will be forever Ana slave

It scales on elo. In t500 blade is trash but in metal ranks people don’t counter it so it’s actually pretty strong. Still not as bad as visor higher up which is a joke

im plat and the only time i get value in blade is when nanoed

even when using it at right time, without nano its mostly 50:50 chance

either i die or i get 1 or 2 kill if im lucky

I agree; I’m a GM support and I wish Genji had more value aside from just nanoblade. I do find his ult tier-list interesting; I would say I generally agree with with what he’s noted, even though I think that it’s garbo that it lays out that way; you have all the support ults in either impactful or game-changing categories…which is fine, I think that is how it should be. But those hugely important ults are widely out-balanced right now.

Window and Rally are both very fast charging ults that are helpful for the team in almost all scenarios, without putting the user at much risk…yet they’re ‘game changing’. Nanoboost is, imo, perfectly where it belongs on this list (though I think Ana needs a nerf aside from that). Valk and Coal are practrically cooldown ults. They are insanely easy and fast to charge, and there is almost no downside to using them as CD. They can be used so easily that it’s just to survive a 1v1, and they’re as useful for a push as used defensively as an ult; a Moira Coal can be used to burn down a nanoblade, but also to give your Rein enough healing that he is almost unkillable for the duration of your Coal…and it’s again, almost a CD ult.

Then you have the traditional counters to a team-wiping ult, the two ‘defensive ults’, Beat and Trans…but they’re both very slow charging ults. Beat in particular is literally the slowest charging ult in the game, and Lucio does not get ult charge for passively providing his primary function, speed boost, and beat is a long cast time, cancellable ult. And Zen’s ult is deleted by just a CD ability from Ana, and both are deleted by EMP after the fact…but then consider that both charge more slowly than any DPS ult they’re meant to save from.

So yeah, blade is trash. I wish we saw more Genji in games again, but this tier-list just shows a lot of how badly some of the game is balanced right now when looked at broadly.

Title says useless, post says situational, analysis says useless. All the exaggeration

And didn’t we see Boston pull off a couple 3Ks with blade in OWL this week? They held nano a couple times and popped it when nano wasn’t available and it still got some value. That isn’t to say it’s game changing, but it does something.

Dragonblade kills the most out of all ultimates.
It is not bad by itself. I’m honestly so sick of this hyperbole.

I think genji is undertuned, yes, but his ultimate is fine, actually its GOOD.

Statistically it’s one of the best damage dealing ults. It’s just that that class of ult as a whole is gonna be naturally less impactful than something that enables the whole team. People really need to stop comparing apples and oranges honestly

I mean the OP himself says he gets no value out of blade even when he gets 2 kills with it. This is typical Genji main think.

As far as the video analysis goes, it’s wildly inconsistent. He ranks some ults lower because sometimes it doesn’t work. He then ranks other ults higher because sometimes it works. I mean the guy has shatter as the same value as whole hog. That alone should tell you all you need to know about the validity of his tier list.

We have a lot of players who aren’t good at the game and still think genji is busted so it will stay the same

Well he is a bap player, and just like me, it’s possible to overemphasize the value of a hero from my experience playing them and popping off

I think all decently ranked players think Blade is trash without nano. Hell, some even think it isn’t great with nano. As you climb a little bit, blade drops in value rapidly
