Too much out of my control

I shouldn’t be losing this many games because of other people. I understand that this game is very team based, but that’s the biggest issue.

oh I played perfectly, but the dps were bots and we lost because of that and I personally lose 30 sr from it for some reason even though it wasn’t my fault.

Come on.

I’m not trying to rank shame you, im not saying gold is bad, im saying that if you we’re playing perfectly, you wouldn’t be losing gold games.

Nick definitely isn’t rank shaming, but he is right, if you played perfectly you wouldnt be losing in gold, you wouldn’t even be in gold.

You still doing live coaching Nick? I really enjoy watching it.

I mean if you are stuck in a rank that means that’s your skill level… That’s the whole point of the system…

If u lose 30sr per loss in fact it indicate that most of the time YOU are the problème in ur team and that’s totally your fault if your team lose most of the time

If u gain/lose 25 sr every game
Ur suppose to be at ur deserve rank

When u win more u are to low and when u lose more u are to high

Seems like the game consider you as the problem

Anyway, remember, the only constant in every single of ur game is you, the only thing I can contrôle in ur game is you, u can whine about bad teammate or you can improve and start playing with better team mate

If you need help, share the replay code from that match. I am curious to see how you

What role are you playing?

Clearly you aren’t playing perfectly. Would a GM level player be losing these gold games? Absolutely not.

ML7 lost his first gold game…

…as Mercy…

Kabaji nearly lost his first gold game on his “flex to GM” challenge. He would have lost if he didn’t go full try hard Tracer and 1v6 the enemy team…

Some games are unwinnable, but grind enough and you’ll get where you belong.

Might be loads of crazy ups and downs on the way though…

It means PBSR is against you, that does not mean you are the problem. Even if globally having better stats is a way to improve, it is not the alpha omega of all.

Not everything is relevant stats wise. Or everything that predicts football matches or stocks (GameStop?) evolutions would be right. Even then, diminishing low random outcomes improve the odds of getting a big random outcome (black swann effect).

My point : too much match making magic in OW, by trying too hard to make “fair matches” it diminishes low random outcomes (look at beautiful 50% winrates), but increase the odds to get high random outcomes (look at winning / loosing streaks).

You are right that some games are unwinnable but do you think he would lost it by playing Ana and not mercy for example?

PBSR is neutral, it goes both ways. PBSR is your friend helping you if play play better than other below 3000 SR. Its against you only if you dont play well consistently.

if t500 players can lose games, imagine how many games are completely unwinnable for a person who belongs 500 sr higher

if you are comparing gold gameplay vs say OWL or t500, then no the gold game play would not be considered playing perfect. However, it is possible to play well (not perfect because everyone makes a mistake regardless of how small it is; ie: missing a shot or ability on teammates etc) so to say that this player did not play well because of his rank is ridiculous as different ranks require different types of play style

If you believe you play perfectly, how can you possibly improve?

  1. Doesn’t mean they played perfectly in those games. I’m sure even they will admit that once tilt is gone.

We could agree here.

Agreed. OP said he played perfectly, we’re all agreeing that he’s not playing perfectly.
