So I guess instead of bringing back competitive Lucioball they decided to just recycle some old content?
Are there even developers anymore or just a bunch of suits trying to extract what they can from the sinking ship?

Copa lucioball was actually the thing that I was hyped about. Well, now I’m just going to buy the skins and move on to other games until ow2
Where were you when they announced how the Remix volumes and events were going to be done months ago?
To be fair, Remix volume 2 also had competitive deathmatch, just like the anniversary event always had. So I think it’s a surprise that they actually left out the arcade comp mode this time.
Comp deathmatch was in remix2 like it should have been if it was archives instead. That’s how they were all supposed to work.
But I like how you talk out your a$$ like you know better.
Did you even read how he formulated his post? Or did you just want to post that response since the internet is the only place you would dare post like that?
You’re the only one in this thread that seemingly doesn’t understand what he’s writing about so now there’s even more irony in your responses.
That’s a fair observation, but I believe they have been marketing these remix events as Anniversary-style events, and not like a remix version of the event they replaced. Which is why all event skins are unlocked and all event modes are on a rotation - no idea about the ranked Competitive Deathmatch being an actual tie in or pure coincidence though.
I really wanted Copa Lucioball back this year, but I don’t see why you think calling the devs lazy helps. I don’t even think its a matter of “laziness” or effort put in. They just decided not to bring it back this year. It’s not like it’d have required new development or features or anything.
The best chance of getting it back (or at least insight on why they didn’t bring it back) would be creating a respectful thread that expresses your feedback and hopefully getting support from other forum members.
Recycling old content sure smells of “couldn’t be bothered” to me. They are too focused on bleeding things dry to bother putting in the effort i figure.
I understood just fine. I also understood what the devs outlined when they announced the remix events, which were never meant to act as the events they replaced. For all we know, Comp Deathmatch was a coincidence, but hey, go ahead with what you see as “irony”.
So do you believe or do you know. Because earlier you spoke like you knew and now you’re not so sure so let’s clear this up for you.
The anniversary events were replacements for the events that should have been held during those times. vol1 and 2 had their respective competitive modes available. remix3 has none when it should have had copa lucioball.
All these remixes were supposed to do is allow us to get whatever skins we don’t have before the change and to play our favourite modes three times instead of one. But they couldn’t even do that as they left lucioball out of customs for remix2 and now although its in customs for remix3, copa is absent.
All in all, this year I actually have the ability to play less lucioball than if it had only been available for the regular anniversary and summer games. At least in summer games it’d be available in arcade for 3wks. Instead I get to play for 9 total days and now I also don’t get the only competitive mode I play and wait all year for.
You are funny in how you’re hanging on two words out of my whole post.
The fact that the events aren’t just simply Archives + remix skins or Summer Games + remix skins shows that the approach was different. I said believe, because they didn’t say it word for word, they showed it.
No point in arguing with you any further because guess what - the conclusion is that Ranked Lucioball isn’t there.
Except the only difference at all with remix1 and 2 was having the seasonal rotation of events in arcade. Everything else stayed the same including their comp modes. So the only thing that changed with their “approach” was that. Which means it’s actually you holding on to something and choosing to call things “coincidences” just so you don’t have to concede your misinformed opinion.
