I don’t think so. Pretty sure youre supposed to slam into the enemy, activate shields, then accidentally run into a wall while trying to escape and die.

i mean his aim is kinda bad and misses a couple hooks, however, he created a lot of space and several times he had 2 on him in the back and none of you pushed. was a perfect instance when he had two healers on him in the back lol and somehow ya still losing fights.

rolling into players and feeding your brains out is not creating space no matter how you try to spin it. Just because he had 2 people on him for 3 seconds doesn’t mean he was making space. If we can’t get through their defenses because all he does is keep booping people and refuses to switch but keeps rolling into them and feeding and not getting kills but grazing everything that is Soft throwing.
How often does he pull out his gun and shoot? How many times did he pile drive? All he did was roll into and through them that’s now creating space that’s trolling.
damn near impossible to push without tanks leading the charge on assault map of all things. Lot of Dps get blamed for instances like that but they’re not at fault when tanks don’t do anything.

Soft throwing: A made up term competitive players use as a last ditch effort to assign blame anywhere but themselves. Typically describing a player who isnt actually throwing, but simply doing something they dont like.
Always the other guys fault. No matter what. No working together, no adjustment for gameplay styles. Simply my way or youre throwing.
If it’s not the Ball, its the widow or the Soldier or a healer or the Rein. Every game.
This is what happens when you mass market a competitive environment to people who arent mentally or emotionally suited for one.

A lot of people cannot figure out how to play around WB; thats a problem. I am still learning him, and I only felt comfortable with the base mechanics after almost 30 hours, then and only then could I really think about integrating with the team. He’s without question the highest skill floor and ceiling among the tanks.

Ok I watched it. Hammond was by far the best player on the team. He did a lot of work which nobody else capitalised on. I just looked at the attack which I assume you blamed him for. He had 3 ults. He had two of them before any of your DPS got an ult. One of your DPS did not even use an ult. He kept switching. The other DPS only had one ult. You as Ana also got your ult reasonably quickly but you didn’t use it until right near the end.
Hammond did create a lot of space and knocked them into your team a couple of times but neither time could your DPS kill them.
To blame Hammond for this loss is really far fetched.

Ah, the ‘it’s just a made up term’ argument. For when you want to disagree, but don’t really have any points to make about the specific example being given, where the player is clearly ‘soft throwing’ by not doing anything and not switching.

You seem to be chasing this theme in multiple threads, so i’ll say again: You are what happens when a game is mass marketed to someone who is not mature enough of mind or emotion to play it.

Well its honestly what some people in lower ranks are expecting. I had games where i had 3 picks as widow and tanks were still afraid to push so i had to shout at them to push. Unbelievable.

The hammond is clearly throwing by not switching, not using comms, not going on DPS/tanks during fights. If he can’t aim he 10000000% should not be trying to solo healers, as his TTK is lower than the DPS on their team. It also means he’s not mitigating damage on his solo tank.
