Thats about it. The state of this heaping pile of trash even in qp is unplayable. I am done until somethign is done about it. Spin botters, wall hacking, people defending cheaters saying it doesnt matter bc its qp. I give up on giving this game my time.

Not all are cheaters⌠MOST are alt accounts and smurfs. they are doing stat manipulation to gain an unfair advantage. Report and next. UNLESS this is encouraged by the dev team to inflate player numbers.
No this game is done. They wont do anything to address it. They actively refuse to address it. I see way to many blatant cheaters in my game to care anymore. I dont even care about smurfs. I specifically said the cheating. If the devs wont address it I am not giving them anymore of my time. I am sick of booting this game up and seeing someone openly cheating bc they know they wont be punished for it. I would rather go play a single player game than sink any more time in this trash.
You cant even solo que to avoid stacks of smurfs and cheaters. This game goes out of its way to ruin the experience for its players.
They wonât because then it hurts their playercount, so they canât make stupid claims like the game is actually doing good because 30 million unique accounts logged on in a month
because a cheat provider that I wont give the name of is currently offering free trials for their cheats hence the massive increase of them
a more likely solution is Kernal level anticheats which wont completely irradicate them but greatly reduce the numbers however this has the same problem since alot of people cried when Val introduced it cause they seen it as a breach of privacy

100%. I guarantee if you play a minimum of 5 games even in qp you will find at least 2-3 people cheating in those games. People want to argue the game doesnt have a cheating issue yet I can pull up the top 500 listing and there are cheaters currently sitting in the top 10.
We are really only left with one choice but until cough cough Overwatch fan boy streamers stop shilling for this game the fix will never be implemented.
The best thing they can do is start hardware and ISP bans. Also it would help if they would start client bans so if you get banned on a steam account all games in your library lets an online mode you are banned from. Something with a Blizz net account. They need to start issuing serious punishments and brick a few PCs in the process.
Iâve never been a big âomg the cheatersâ type person. But right now itâs legit bad. I see a few every single time I play. If Blizzard isnât going to ban immediately on detection at least shadow ban their account to a cheaters que.

I think the initial phone number text verification idea was sound, where Blizzard dropped the ball was insisting on the more expensive phone plans.
just saw a flats video about this⌠cheaters everywhere and cheaters galore. still i think cheaters in tactical shooters is more devastating or in battle royale games. its funny that in overwatch there are cheaters that lose games.
wish online competitive games could solve cheating but i dont think it will ever go away. sad ⌠so the only way is to not play seriously and just for fun but how can you have fun when there are cheaters everywhere
Ah, the mystical hardware ban unicorn. How do you think Blizzard is going to get their hardware ID without the cheater being able to spoof it? ISP bans? You mean IP bans? Have you ever heard of⌠NordVPN?

The phone idea was good but it failed bc there were service providers it didnt work with. People would have been forced to change their carrier potentially even their numbers to play the game. That was the issue.
This is two ways street. First one - are players, loyal players that love product no matter what and ofc have feelings when their objections and wishes will not be heard. Second one - cheaters, usual players and not loyal at all. They donât have any clue and care what will happen with game and prefer to spend more money for cheat itself than for game cuz their account could be banned, so there is no point to spent money for something u can lose.
So this â30 millons unique accountsâ will leave on that or thar way, but somehow this 30 mlns doesnât count because uâre playing with the same players over and over again.
I get why the initial implementation failed, but if Blizzard just wanted to insist on a phone number you can text to or get an automated voicemail that your accountâs activation code could be sent to, that would be fine and then that account and its associated number could be banned if necessary.
Maybe some people out there really would keep buying burner phones to cheat in a free to play game, but the additional cost and hassle wouldnât be nothing. Are there ways to circumvent it? Sure, but every extra step required is one more than a lot of people are willing to make.
as of right now its like 1/3 games have a cheater. Could literally do what call of duty did to their cheaters and apply anti cheat that screws their game up when detected, makes everyone invisible, makes their bullets stop working, etcâŚBut nope. Pretend like they cant do anything; like most aimbots/walls dont use the same type of code to initiate their cheatsâŚ
Blizzard doesnt care, and wants cheaters to prosper. Its been years, its the same game. There are literally countless things you can do at this point to stop cheats, its 2024 and the games been going for over 10 years. They arent some super hackers that are making these cheats. Implement anti cheats, that arent just bans. Force the losses and terrible time on them.

Banning a phone number is kinda problematic because it can be re-issued to someone else after itâs abandoned.
