TLDR on the directors take on 6v6

Doesn’t matter, you don’t have to break it. Just walk past or around it. Or use some mobility to get on the high ground. Once it’s placed it that’s kind of it for Sigma.

Theirs no flexability to it.

You just don’t have to give it the time of day.

I don’t think you understand at all how this works…

So a barrier will naturally block healing from most abilities in the game. Unless it’s a heal over time or something like Life Grip to pull your tank/dps away from the barrier itself. So in order for a team to get value out of walking through a barrier, they would all have to walk through it. That includes the supports. That puts your support players in a terrible position, opening them up to be flanked or cleaved through with any AoE damage (like Pharah, for example)

That’s not really what they said at all.

tldr - There is a reason that the game has evolved from what it used to be, to what it is today (5v5). We are open to trying 6v6 sometime in the future, but we will likely not be adding back 2-2-2.

But nowhere did they said they will most likely not replace 5v5, lol.

Ya?

but you can also just dip around back around it, get hit with a nade and push back in a half second after or so. Or just have your support on the high ground or flank that has LOS to you.

I’ts not even curved like orisa’s or as wide as riens, so if your playing on an angle or something you can just stand slightly to it’s side or so.

Like the only thing good it had going for it is that it could be moved around alot.

Legitimately a single LW pedal or mei wall will just open your team to for free damage. And that d.va can just get a free bomb the moment he places it, because that was his only tool to deal with that.

Let alone interactions with say sombra that will just turn it off on hack or emp, so it’s just goes on the full cooldown regardless.

Like I really I shouldn’t need to explain the 101 on how to play around barriers.

Ya it is, 5v5 is going to get changes going forward to make improvements. It’s not going anywere.

They listed the many issues with 6v6 and openly said that they don’t have solutions for them. regardless of it’s 2-2-2.

they have a stable format at the moment. But also want to give people what they liked about 6v6. I highly doubt it’s going to be some odd 1/2/3 format either. That sour the first time they tried that.

That’s why I mentioned some of the other tanks we already have in the game. Ball can easily boop around non-tank players and push them away from Sigma’s barrier, or even boop them into the barrier for example (to negate their healing). Hog can pull someone into Sigma’s barrier and remove or force abilities from the other team. Hog can hook people on high ground or flank routes. Winston has more reach and more consistent damage than some of the other heroes.

sigma ball? so sig places barrier, and you get a free team wipe with every d.va bomb. Got it.

Like ball is good, but he doesn’t want to play around a barrier. Or act as peeling.

That’s kind just a waist of his kit. And keeps him from building ult as fast as he needs to be.

Also good luck on open spaces, or dealing with flanks. Because you have no solution either of those scenarios.

That’s a joke right? His hook will break to do the LOS checks on highground. Also again… d.va bomb wins every fight the second the barrier is placed.

And your not going to be consistently hitting tracer or sombra with hook now. Or good forbid it’s a tank with range like orisa pushing that flank.

The guy would 1000% need another barrier tank, like orisa to cover up all those wholes big time.

Not sure. If alot of the old 6v6 crowd comes back and buys season passes the money would grow.

most of them stayed, and even then it’s not really a big deal in the long run. As like it’s just another feature on the box at the end of the day. No different then adding back a new gamemode.

I think most of them float around these forums but i dont believe they stayed/spent money. Im one of them. I havnt soent a penny on OW 2 since the release. I did buy the deluxe edition as to support OW bc it was my go to game since it released. I played for 1 season and realized i hated 5v5. I waited and came back for and tried season 2. And hated it. Stopped playing. Came back again around season 9. Tried to like for entire season. Still hated it. Now i just log in once a season play a game get pissed off and remember i hate 5v5. I think there are alot of people tracking ow waiting for it to actually be fun again. If they can make it a game i love like i did in ow1 id buy a season pass ever season. But they havent/cant. Therefore i will not spend money. As an aside, they NEED to drop prices of skins. Entire OW1 is the price of 2 skins…

So what you fine fun is subjective, and I can’t magically change that.

but I would recommend a few things.

First trying to focus on the engaging the smaller heroes first and foremost. And don’t be afraid to go aggro on any role. Just keep it to smaller fights.

Don’t try to be the damage mitigator on tank, and focus instead on getting kills. Think your self like a brawler then the guy that’s suppose to hold all the aggro. And get out of engagements that are more then like 2v1 3v2 scenarios. (also still do the last point)

Don’t be affraid to cycle out of the fight at any time, discord can’t be re-applied for 8 seconds or so after breaking LOS to zen. And nade will disappear in 3 seconds regardless, so might as be were the enemy can’t also shoot you.

If you happen to give the game another shot, see if any of this helps.

So the battle pass is a thing, and like you get like 4~5 skins for 10$. Be it I can understand the frustration of something popping up outside of that.
