The argument would suggest that this is QP I’m here to practice. The core of the game is building a team comp and a strat. Core practicing would mean you don’t always get to play the hero you want. Just playing whatever you want because “This is QP bro I’m practicing” is not practicing at all. This statement is pointed at 4 + dps stacks.
Eh its just quick play win or lose there is no stat loss and you just go in to the next match, fresh start, its like the last one never happened. keep getting queued with bad randos? Just stop playing for a few min and requeue with a new set of randos. quick play is no big deal and people need to stop treating it as such. whats next you want me to play your constrictive comps in arcade? are you gonna tell me to start playing my counters in lucioball or ffa??
Thats the exact reason why a chunk of people never get better.
I’m here to play Hammond. You heal if we need one so bad
One tricking is not a way to play this game. I flex every game needed.
Use looking for group create the ideal team… there problem solved… idk why people keep making these posts when they already have a solution.
Nobody joins half the time for just QP LOL. This is a message to the community to help them learn how to play the game.
who cares tbh at the end the day do you even remember the names of your teammates without looking in recent games?
That’s a lie right there… I joined a lot of lfg teams and it’s only tank role that gets picked last.
I almost only play qp now using lfg on this account and my other account please dont tell me no one joins them because I can assure you they get filled up fast.
Also thanks for teaching me how to play the game I’m still not switching off widow though.
That’s kind of what you have to assume when you queue up for QP. I usually flex between support or tank but I know playing QP that more often than not it’ll be me as support with 5 DPS or maybe we’ll get lucky and get 1 support or tank. You have to expect 4 DPS and get happily surprised when it doesn’t happen
Its actually not a lie that’s my actual personal experience. Maybe it differs for you but i can hardly ever get anyone to join a QP in lfg. I have maybe got 2 teams to go. Compared to countless Comp teams.
The only time I’ve ever done more than the odd 3 stack of DPS is when someone says “6 DPS?” in chat and everyone goes “you know what? I want to just mess around, sure” and then we just go have fun. I’ve won more games as well a 6 stack of DPS than I’ve lost, but that doesn’t really matter to me because I was just having fun with a bunch of random people. Even the enemy team had fun for the most part, because they usually chimed in saying that they were laughing the entire time and such
I know babe. That’s what I play QP to play heroes I’m not comfortable playing in comp yet.
Just like the posts complaining about losing SR because their comp teammates are holding them back.
Eh, majority of the groups I see are for QP.
What are you requesting your team comp to be?
I am with you on this.
The main argument from those that live for comp is “well, it’s not ranked so… it doesn’t matter”. Honestly, what is the point outside of just practice (which every game qp or comp is) unless you are trying to win. Even QP is a competitive game, you are expected to try your best to win even if you are learning a new character… and it’s respectful to your teammates, many whom want to genuinely win. This attitude is almost 100% from comp players who basically look down on QP because there is no visible ranking, but forget for many this is the main thrust of the game. They get all crazy when someone isn’t performing in comp because of that all important measure of self-worth in the universe, SR. I ask again, how would you like it if QP players showed up and said “meh, it’s just comp, I don’t really care about SR”… and while played even competently, didn’t really try with the wrong attitude…
At the end of the day it’s flippant and it’s disrespectful towards the team… randos or not.
But don’t try to change their minds, it won’t happen.
I wouldn’t like it because Competitive is a separate gamemode made for players to play competitively, and Quick Play is not. This comparison doesn’t work.
And you then entirely missed the point, even Blizzard has gone on the record saying this attitude is not correct. QP is not just practice or screwing around for anything, it’s a valid game mode you are expected to try to win and not f’off and throw…
At the end of the day, if no one is throwing or deliberately sabotaging the match, everyone is free to play whatever hero they want to play. It doesn’t matter if it’s 6 DPS or all tank.
Not playing up to pro stat 2 2 2 standard isn’t a reason to get tilted towards teammates. Be it comp or QP. QP has the advantage that you lose nothing, it’s a quick match, queue up again and go about your day. LFG is usually an option for QP unless you’re masters and up. NA and EU mostly have groups for QP only becauce they want to test the players first before joining them in comp.
