good WR bad PR would be one thing, but he historically has had a good WR and a good PR which most popular heroes don’t. e.g. people will complain about kiriko all day long, but despite being as popular as she is, her WR is incredibly poor. same with cass, widow, etc

It’s the players who give Genji a bad rap. Young Genji was selfish and arrogant, much like the typical Genji main, but the redeemed Genji is humble and respectful.
Those players never had anyone like Zenyatta to help them grow into a better version of themselves. It’s poetic really.

A Genji player spamming the same tired excuses to try to gaslight everyone else that your hero is somehow in any way, shape, or form bad or unviable when he’s not and has been a solid pick for the last two years. Which the Devs have said multiple times across multiple streams across multiple seasons.

Good or bad he’s generally pretty unfun right now and I wish they’d either revert all HP pools and hitboxes or remove nanoblade and give him 29 dmg shuriken and 125 dmg blade
he hasnt been difficult since the S9 hitbox changes, his shirukens are shotgun blasts now

I think people just don’t like how he plays right now, especially with the Classic version right there showing how fun he could be.
A rebalance with a nerf to 225 HP, but buffs elsewhere to his deadliness, might make people enjoy him more

I remember genjis with squiggly names destroying whole team 1by1. Genji was so dominant, he was a huge reason moira existed way back when…
It was horrific. Good genjis would like shuriken+dash back of feet+180triple headshot+melee+dash out. In a blink.
And the nanoblade teamwipe was inevitable…not if, but when…
I dont see that much anymore, and i dont know why? I dont play genji, so if anyone knows, can they explain?

Flashbang, Mei freeze, Sym and Zarya beams. Pretty sure he can be contested. Just that good players do work, like with current Tracer and Widow
The only people who think Genji is bad are people who can’t play Genji properly and would rather blame the game than look inwards at their own skill level (or lack thereof).
