I should not have someone who is below 1000 sr on my team in a gm game. Its a L every time. This happens all the time. Ill get someone who lets say is 3600 on dps, but 900 on tank and support. They clearly don’t belong that high.

That’s what happens when you give out priority passes for losses. They literally don’t try, and if someone is able to drag them over the line, bonus tickets!

there are people who are masters+ on some roles and bronze-plat on others
they probably just don’t play that role much and never have bothered climbing it.
yes some people are either boosted or troll on the other roles but just because someone is bronze on one of their roles doesn’t mean they are bad

From what I’ve seen, most GMs at least get diamond when they play other roles. And that’s only because of their knowledge and game sense.

If a Master Player doesn’t care about his other roles he still should be at least gold in other roles. The fact that he is >900 Sr means he’s either trolling or boosted.

I honestly can’t take this seriously tho there’s no way people prefer to go for 1 ticket and do nothing all game than 6 by trying
Why though? He probably just goes into those roles for priority pass tickets so he can actually play the role he enjoys. Doesn’t care if they win or lose, doesn’t even care to try, he gets his passes then he goes play the game with the hero/role he actually enjoys.
If he’s 3600 on dps and he’s on your team and he’s performing in his dps role well, then you have nothing to complain about. If he’s playing like dogcrap and being rolled left and right by the enemy dps and it very clearly looks like he’s out of his league, then and only then can you say he doesn’t belong in that role. Bringing up his rank in his other roles is irrelevant and honestly feels like you’re just looking for someone to blame for an L other than yourself.

I do not agree with this. Some people really do specialize in one role and are poor performance in the others.

It´s normal to place low on all three roles and than focus on one role, while doing placements for the rest just to get credits…
Not in Masters though. Trolling in bronze on tank or support maybe, but that’s not really your problem and definitely not something you witnessed.
To an extent, but if they’re literally bronze on tank/support but 3600 on DPS then something is DEFINITELY wrong.
I can see a 1000sr difference in roles, maybe even 1500sr, but anything past that is just trolling.

A huge discrepancy like Master vs 3 digit SR is a big red flag that they’re probably involved in gameplay sabotage of some kind, maybe even account sharing/boosting. Even account sharing by itself is a bannable offense if caught.

Yeah that’s fair. I’ve seen outrageous gaps from low Silver to mid Master on one account at the same time and it looked suspicious.
But being low to mid gold in two ranks and low master on another isn’t nearly as outrageous

If you’re 3600 and out of priority passes, here’s the scenarios:
-
Queue without priority pass and take 15-20 minutes to find a game.
-
Flex, get a game almost instantly, and play 10-15 minutes or more for the chance at six tickets or the virtually equal chance at one ticket, or
-
Flex, get a game instantly, literally do nothing for 5 minutes, get that same one pass, and move along. And, again, some tryhard might roll the lobby and get you six for zero effort.
Most efficient is 3. Shooty shooty guy doesn’t wanna heal or tank, why should he put extra effort into a game when it’s easier to just get your pass?

Im a high masters support player but low plat on dps and tank. Does that mean I shouldn’t actually be in masters games on support? What games am I supposed to be in? Is Blizzard supposed to stick masters players in gold lobbies if their other roles aren’t nearly as high? That’s an absurd solution to a pretty much non-existent problem.
