The grind out of the 2900s is really slow and I’d figured I’d try to just play sigma as hes generally pretty good and meta atm as I just want to climb out already. However, I suck at him. Any tips on how to play him effectively ? He also just seems fun in general
Press WASD to move and left mouse button to shoot. Your left shift is ability 1, your E button is ability 2, your right click is your alternate fire.
Certain abilities have cooldowns depending on the hero, shift your playstyle around the cooldowns
Once that meter in the middle of your screen reaches 100% then it is time to use your ultimate ability! Press Q to activate your ultimate ability
Oh I forgot to mention: maps have this thing called objectives where you capture them to win. Some maps have a payload where you escort it to the end of the map to win

I’ll have some serious tips.
Kinetic grasp doesnt stop accretion (rock), so if you are fighting another Sigma, charge him with shield. if they use kinetic grasp, use accretion on him.
You also can drop shield while using kinetic grasp.
When firing primary fire, let it fire the two shots, then melee to get some extra DPS.
before you ult, if you see a big group of enemies, throw your shield in the air, then ult. you can then hide behind your shield mid air, so you wont get killed.
Also, make sure to prioritize healers during the flux.
try to go for direct hits, but if the enemy is running, try to go for the wall shot.
Sigma ult goes well with Hammond mines, so you can pull an awesome combo to end games.
You also can ult into Zaryas grav, and they wont go flying off, making it easier to shoot them.
Sigma uses a flick style aiming. With rock, I flick towards enemies, activate it, and use the charge up time to line up the shot. I play Reinhard, so I am already used to lining up shots like that (Learning Reinhardt is also useful).
Use rock to cancel abilities like Roadhog heal, genji deflect, and other things like that.

Tysm. I’m a decent rein just not used to sigma yet as I normally play non sheild tanks but wanted to learn him because he seems really good. As a zarya and ball player I’ve seen those combos wreck firsthand.

I’m a GM/Masters off-tank player, and I mostly play Sigma. If you post some gameplay of you playing Sig I’d be happy to give some pointers on how you can improve your Sig and tank play in general.
