Tiny D.Va Nerf 🌟

proposed changes have an overall DPS increase at the cost of burst.

Micro Missiles
Removed

Fusion Cannons
Increased pellet count to 12(was 11)
Rate of fire very slightly increased(6.8 from 6.67)

Numbers
(fusion cannon)
Old DPS = 146.74
New DPS = 163.2

Overall she’d deal more damage than she did with micro missiles if she was allowed to shoot consistently at a big target such as rein shield. The goal of this change is just to decrease her potency as a dive tank.
Combined with this change add a more aggressive dive tank with minor peeling capabilities.

That is a major nerf and not tiny.

The only change I would see is not being able to use both Matrix Defense and Missiles at the same time.

Increase standard damage to counteract.

She’d still remain the best dive tank and peeling tank with those changes.

What you mean is make her even worse versus armor and worse at shield breaking when she was never good with those to begin with. Worse with the tiny amount of burst damage she gets with micro missiles too if you can hit with them.

No deal.

Just stop with the nerf dva rhetoric. Nobody still gives a damn about OWWC pickrates.

Missiles were just as bad vs armor. They just provide too much burst for her.

That not the point. It makes the D.Va player think about their ability. To use Matrix or Missiles.

Matrix will eat whatever is coming after her while missiles will dps whatever she aiming at or facing.

this means that people who are trying to dps here will not be at a disadvantage because D.Va can kill someone while eating their damage and shooting missiles in their face at the same time.

If the change happened. D.Va will have to decide what to use instead of not thinking at all.

Oh and change her health back to 100/400 too.

Missiles are one of the weakest dps abilities.

you know, once you add abilities, it’s not as easy removing them without people crying over them.

Mercy mains and Sym mains never got over their lost stuff. Even Hanzo mains used to be really upset about scatter arrow.
It’s surprising how quickly Torb mains shut up about the armor pack tho.

I personally never liked the missiles. Their visualization looks poor and they hardly ever feel impactful to me (yes, I know it gives her burst damage, but the rockets themselves feel very puny. Like she was throwing rocks. It lacks the feeling of actually ā€œdoing damageā€ even when people die to it. Dunno if people will understand what I mean.)

Not saying they are strong, however removing them weakens D.Va’s burst damage drastically which makes her more of a peeling tank.

That’s a nerfed launch D.Va. Launch D.Va should never be in the talks, worst hero in the game history, even worse than current Bastion. :point_up:

If they removed missiles but added more shotgun damage I would be fine with it. I played her since release so missiles I don’t care much for.

stop removing abilities seriously, look at hanzo, scatter is featured in the animated short and now its gone, dva in ā€˜shooting star’ has micromissiles…

Its original D.Va. Or has the dictionary definition changed while I was gone.

When I’m talking about ā€œoriginal D.Vaā€ I’m talking the real original D.Va. When she actually became a useful hero in this game. Launch D.Va was a throw pick, and you suggest a nerfed version of that.
