Watched blizzcon.
Feeling good.
Time to maybe enjoy some quickplay!

Nope. Widowmaker. Took all of 15 seconds to suck all the fun from the game.

Nerf her. Delete her. Get her out of my games. I do not like playing against Widowmakers. They are absolutely no fun to play against.

There are plenty of reasons to argue for widow nerfs including poor counter-play, bad scaling compared to the rest of the roster, and a terrible skill curve. However, just being no fun to play against should qualify her for a near-total rebuild of her kit that makes her more fun to play against.

This requirement has been well-established with previous nerfs to Junkrat, Roadhog, and Sombra.

Last match Widow-not-smurf one-shot me. I was Hanzo 200hp under nano. I got nano and died :joy:
We demolished them, though.

Me: you know people would just shut up about Moira if her stupid ball couldn’t reduce player HP below 1, right? the only purpose this would serve is to prevent them from getting kills they shouldn’t be getting anyway and would potentially, in some cases, even provide MORE ult charge to Moira

Hows about widow cant 1 shot, only reduce health to 1?

The Op is suggesting Widowmaker is responsible for their less than enjoyable Overwatch experience.

I am suggesting the OP is responsible for it themselves. With evidence of an exchange that suggests as much.

I think that the most skilled Moira players would actually see this as an overall buff. But you are right, it has little to do with how the OP feels about Widowmaker and I have no intent of derailing this thread.

No, they should not nerf Widowmaker, they should nerf smurfs, I think they should let a new smurf have at least 15hour Widowmaker play to unlock head shot ability.
Widowmaker is the number one cheating hero in-game. But doen’t mean she is easy to play. And some people truly love her.

He has a point - widow is a very troublesome character that has driven every single meta we’ve had to some level. She’s not fun to play against. Being taken down from 100% to dead instantly feels horrible.

Yes, other things arent fun to play against too, but not to that level.

Widow was meta when mercy was meta. Its almost as if supports define the meta and the other picks are just what works well with them. This meta is an exception because sigma is so broken.

Then takes at least 2 of your team to deal with her. One to shield everyone, and one to chase her down.

…but when my grenades force one other person to actually watch where they’re going, “it’s too frustrating!!! better nerf junkrat!!!”

I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m just asking for what happened to my main, to happen to the heroes who annoy me.

Widow isn’t fun to play against. She’s frustrating.

Give her the junkrat/sombra treatment.

Or just using terrain as cover, I guess. Works for me. The solution to each problem isn’t always to ‘kill’ the threat, sometimes you can just nullify or mitigate by simple positioning.
