Since Quickplay Open Q is no longer in Arcade. It needs to be put back there and left there. Or its time to make 2 new modes.
'Quickplay Hardcore"
“Quickplay Casual”
(just need blizzard to come up with their fancy name for it).
Hardcore players that want sweaty wins and no leavers need their own version of quickplay and Open Q Quickplay needs divided into its own where people just cycle in and out of the game at their leisure.
So timmy’s like me can play in modes suited for us, without fear of being wailed on. and being subjected to hearing the same constant chiming from Sweaty angry team mates that just want us to leave because we don’t want to play Overwatch at “Full throttle”.
For this “new” mode:
- No premade groups.
- If the other team is dominating too much of the other team. The match just concludes.
- no level 1 accounts (Since smurffs exist).
Sorta like how bowling alleys inflate bumpers and put them down the sides of the lane.
It’d make warm-up and training much better, and Im sorry bots & arcade doesn’t really Qualify.
Obvious its needed because Match maker just keeps pairing us low-tier players with team mates that are really hardcore and they dont like that.

There should be three main queues:
Quickplay: faster queues, looser MMR, QP match format (attack OR defend) no leaver penalties, can complete all challenges, can earn weapon variants at a decreased rate. (Earning WV points still requires completing a match)
Unranked: Mid queues, tighter MMR, Comp match format (attack AND defend), leaver penalties, can complete all challenges, AND can earn weapon variants. (Comp points would be renamed)
Ranked: Mid-long queues, extremely tight MMR, Comp match format, harsh leaver penalties, can complete most challenges, CANNOT earn weapon variants.
The idea is to have 1) super casual queue for quick no-stakes matches, 2) A queue for more serious players who don’t want to play competitively but still want to have a semi competitive experience and earn weapon variants, and finally 3) A queue for very competitive players who are playing specifically to improve their skills and increase their rank with little to no other incentives, in order to promote competitive integrity.
In order to keep queues reasonable, I think arcade should be limited to 3 modes that rotate more frequently, and 1 mode being a “Featured” mode that rotates less frequently and is reserved for for trying new maps, LTMs, featured custom games, etc
