Feeling pretty bored so I figured to pass the time I’d make and share another tier list, this time based on the heroes’ designs/appearances;
(The heroes are not ordered within each tier, cause I cba to get that specific.)

Obviously aesthetic appeal is very, very subjective, so you are of course more than welcome to disagree with my list. Also just to clarify, I don’t think any of the heroes are “ugly” or “objectively poorly designed” or anything like that (with the exception of maybe Kiriko), this list is very much just based on what appeals to me personally. It’s also not really based on attractiveness, for example, I think Baptiste is a very handsome man, but design-wise I find him a bit boring and not all that interesting compared to most of the other heroes.
Feel free to share your own thoughts, or yell at me for being wrong about insert favorite hero here, whatever you feel like doing.

The fact you S Tiered Venture makes me disregard any validity your list has. Play wise, Venture is fun. Appreance… leaves a lot to be desired… especially the over top annoying voice lines.

Lucio’s OW2 redesign is as good as a legendary. The only reason I don’t use it is because I hate how the golden gun looks with it. Disco does fix it.

I didn’t take voice lines into consideration, but I also don’t think Venture is anywhere near as annoying as Kiriko in that regard, but I can respect that other people feel differently.
I am well aware that my overall positive thoughts on Venture aren’t popular. I don’t really care though, they look great to me, and that’s that, pretty much

Personally i’d move soldier 1 step down along with widow and bap one step up.
But other than that i aggree with your list.

A very good point, not all herors can be s-tier though. Maybe i’d swap his and mei’s places?
But mei has such a compelling story too…

OW2 Stuff for me is generally bad, but not necessarily because of the look but because of the lore but Widows Redesign fails on multiple levels.

Imagine ruining something that is perfect with an ugly haircut (and her new OW2 voicelines + personalities made it even worse).
OW2 replacing OW1 is just an excuse to make this kind of unnecessary changes.
At least Lucio, S:76, Baptiste, Ashe and D.Va is pretty good in OW2. I’ll rate them all “A-Tier”

I do more or less agree with the sentiment, though my feelings have sort of mellowed out over time regarding Mercy. I think she, along with a few others, were done pretty dirty with the update from OW1 to OW2, and at first I was quite upset about it, but now, I don’t really care all too much. Of course I would’ve rather they didn’t downgrade so many heroes, but they could have done a lot worse so…meh

Kiriko is an obviously great visual design, the best they’ve come up with since the original game launched.

I definitely don’t feel that way, but I’m glad you like her. Art would be pretty boring if everyone had the exact same perceptions and experiences with it.
That they S Tiered a non cute young girl makes it more valid than you care to realize.

It’s not even about personal taste really, it’s just well made from a craft standpoint. I’ve done a bunch of character design work so I understand it pretty well.
The only thing in my opinion that somewhat works with her visually is the shrine maiden vibe, and even then, I think it’s done rather clumsily, and she looks more like a fast food worker than anything else, especially with the headgear. Aside from visuals, I also think she’s just a very poorly thought out character in general, what with her age making absolutely no sense lore-wise and all that.
I think it’s cool that people have connected with the character though, and most people obviously really like her, as is evident from her extensive and ever-growing skin collection :p
i mean each persons tier list will be different but i definitely will have widowmaker at the no.1 spot heh

Bruh, Venture unironically the ugliest design out there. Hate Mauga’s Johnny Bravo legs and Hazard is mess of purple.
Oh, and yeah, OW2 Lucio redesign is absolute bottom of the bottom. Was cool, so they gave him these ugly neon noodle hair.

Don’t listen to the haters. There isn’t really a physical feature you can bring up on venture that makes for a bad or even ugly design besides their giraffe neck (lol). They’re fairly conventionally attractive besides the chipped tooth, which is a fun way to convey their personality and career (aka a good design choice). Their model isn’t as good as their concept art, but I think there’s something more nefarious behind the egregious backlash over their design… the only other thing I can think of is the lack of bright colors
