Or maybe it was Tier 55 all along and they simply offered Kiriko to OW1 owners last minute, just to tone the backlash down

Or they could pull a more modern move and make BP exclusive skins available to buy directly a year after the BP is over, but more expensive than it was in the BP, which happens in a few games.
really what games does that ? for sure fortnite doesn’t and people been asking epic to make old BP skins purchase able on item shop for like what 5 years

I mean Fortnite is owned by the Epic scum, so not surprising. Any monumentally bad press that Blizzard has pales in comparison to that company’s actions.
Only one I play that does exactly that currently is Dead By Daylight, (I only have time for so many games, admittedly stopping with that game for a good while but for alternate reasons) although Destiny 2’s battle pass stuff is earnable via a system that allows them to get discontinued weapons from previous expansions and battle passes, and as I understand it, a certain loot type that you get just by playing the game (equivalent to getting lootboxes for levelling up) can eventually drop the exclusive cosmetics once they’ve been put in rotation down the line.
Just examples from the only games I play with a BP, though.
im not biggest epic shill but they only charge people 8 bucks for battlepass and that battlepass have more than enough premium currency to buy next battlepass for free so nobody on fortnite need to paid another 8 bucks just to get another battlepass
that sound more generous than what overwatch battlepass offer where if they doesn’t change it nobody realize people that playing overwatch 2 for the battlepass have a subscription model where they need to spend 5 bucks after 9 weeks
Nothing to do with their battlepass; it’s everything else they do. An awful company that deserves to go down. Bad for the consumer, bad for the devs. Especially indie devs. In an age where exclusivity was dying, they picked up the torch of just that and carried on marching.
