Throwing in quickplay

What’s the point in throwing when we start winning? It seems to happen all the time

Overconfidence

DDA rigging kicks in to make games closer.
it’s a horribly fake/ded/rigged mess ft. crossplay and bots

– People join a match (or worse, a refill)
– People see something they don’t like
– People don’t have the patience or maturity to deal with it (or it’s some legitimate bs)
– People still have enough self-control to not leave as to avoid penalty

So what do they do - the people who have lost faith in that match but can’t leave? You guessed it, they throw. Not least because that would mean that match ends faster and they can move on.

i think it’s important to not abuse the semantics of “throw”.

i don’t suspect many are deliberately trying to lose, or make their team lose. and there is obviously no deranking on the line. They may be in a state of total apathy, or go into some learning/explore new strats mode. the intent being still to win, just not emotionally invested because of the conditions (like solo vs. stack, crossplay, wrong server, obvious MM gap, etc.)

A match really can appear as though your team is throwing the game, when in reality there is subtle things happening here that are easily detectable. you are witnessing blizzard put their thumb on the scale.

its to create a “drive” that seams like the closer the match is to conclusion that the system steps in to change that experience.

I cant tell you how many times I’ve seen a player lately on the point, and the Overtime clock is running, and they are directly on the point, feet planted and the overtime clock runs out and that player’s team takes the defeat even though their feet were on the point.

That is PURE rigging at that point.

Another would be when watching ultimate meters and respawn timers and how much the game adjusts for it.

The obvious one is a team that doesn’t swap suddenly starts doing better mid match and the enemy team suddenly is being eliminated much faster even though the team hasn’t progressed but maybe 20% on a match and next thing you know they start rolling the other team.

But yes. essentially overwatch is fully rigged.

Games an abomination, and we can’t leave games with useless game ruining trash otherwise WE get the suspension, instead of the griefer

I throw 100% of games with Sombra in it because I just want out of the game

Because the matchmaking doesn’t matter, so might as well have fun with the obvious rigging. No point in giving it any real skill or thought, the matchmaking is what decides if you’re going to win or not.
