Ever since overwatch decided it was my time to go on a 20+ game losing streak AGAIN because my win rate was “too high” (I won 3 games in a row AGAIN) I have been getting 1-2 throwers in my games and they are blantly being afk/sabotaging and typing in chat they are throwing cause a certain chatacter didn’tget banned or whatever dumb reason. I have been reporting them and get no feedback back from it. This has been over the past few weeks cause I can only handle about 2 games being thrown before I remember overwatch does not care to punish these players. I feel like I could directly report with video evidence and they still would say “nah deal with it”

What rank is this at? I’m not seeing anything like this on a regular basis.
Was diamond 1 was almost masters and then I got hit by a ton of throwers so bout to be diamond 4 now and im still getting them.
I’m not that high (so will let someone who knows why you might be getting so many there answer).
The amount of people who deliberately throw is probably similar across all ranks as a %.
Not that many, but irritating af still.
Problem is, not a lot that can be done. If I blatantly throw your game, full afk type stuff, you’ll report me. Unless I do it over a few more games with people reporting me each time. Nothing will happen.
They aren’t going to hire people to review games. That would be far too costly for very little net result.

Makes sense. They cant really get rid of people who make then money as well.
If I had to hazard a guess I think there’s been a disproportionate amount of reports this season due to rank manipulation (boosting/deranking) and throwers in general. I’ve also encountered a lot of them and just decided to stop playing once I got back into my elo-ish.
As annoying as it is, you’ll have to climb back up, which will happen if you belong up there. It’s just a pain in the booty. For some reason this season D1/M5 is even worse than it was before. There seemed to have been a lot more people that didn’t seem to belong in that rank compared to usual, even though the games there are usually awful they were even worse this season.
