So Genji’s CyberDemon skin is the game’s first mythical and a sample of what these types of skins will be in the future
Considering many people have already completed the BP, what do you guys think of the skin, was it worth the grind?
I was expecting more customisation tbh, but I think it’s definitely good overall.
He has many better skins already imo. I just don’t think it looks very good, hoping the next one is better.
Toxic / over the board palette makes him look more like a clown than a demon.
I think it’s pretty cool. If I played Genji, I’d probably be tempted to get the battle pass.
The ability to customize a skin is the only new ft. I like in Overwatch 2.
I don’t like Genji skins (well besides the Illidan one), but sure, they could always throw a few more options into newer mythic skins further down the line.
Not really worth it but it is a nice skin if you want it. I do not play Genji since I am grinding support but I think Baihu is 100 times cooler looking, I enjoy the Baihu’s sword way more than Cyber Demon’s sword. Baihu’s sword is more like a medieval sword, which I like way more than some funky made-up sword.
Ya, I always have my Genji on the Illidan skin (I prefer it over the new mythic skin for him.)
I don’t play Genji so it was not worth the grind for me. The entire Battlepass sucked as they put all the good stuff in the shop.
It’s alright. I’ve played around with it a bit; if we can expect customization and effects like this, I’ll be happy with future ones.
The vocal filter for first person is kind of jarring at first; hearing Genji with this raspy, deep, crackling voice is a leap from his usual demeanor.
The palettes are okay, the weapons are fine, patterns are cool, but the faces… the only good one is the one that doesn’t look like a demon or animal. The others–while I get the intent–are very ugly, especially with the default palette. Sunburnt tomato red is a bit gaudy.
Gives me hope we might one day get a Lúcio one with selectable songs. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, hahaha
It’s an overpriced all star skin.
If it was $10 thats debatably reasonable.
What they charge or have you grind for needs to catch up with early 2000 and modern day skin modding
Same… Let’s hope Mythic skins are never released outside Battle Passes 'cause this Genji skin doesn’t even worth 10 dollars and they would be selling it for 40 bucks or something…
For 10 bucks its pretty good. Hope for a Mercy skin in the next BP.
The so called customization is very limited. It may as well be just 3 different skin recolors. It is not even a good skin but I would probably be excited for a d.va one regadless.
You have to buy it not just complete it to get it.

There are lots of people with skin regrets because at some point they made that character their main later, but can never go get a specific skin for said new main as it was a limited time gig that they passed up on.
I wish that the colorways (especially the third one) were a bit differently distributed on the helmet, but other than that I think it’s pretty neat.
Honestly it’s mid tier at best. Doesn’t look anywhere near good enough to be considered mythic.

My personal favorite Genji skins are Baihu and Ice Wraith.
The Cyberdemon doesn’t appeal to me personally but I would agree the customization is a great selling point. For it to be put into a USD$10 Battlepass is a great value and isn’t hard to grind with less than an hour a day.
Ultimately the value of a skin is highly subjective to personal preference. I know a lot of people hate the current monetization, but when I look at my main’s skins, some I couldn’t be bothered, some I will value at a couple of dollars, and the top I could see myself paying way more that $20 just to have it and use it.
It needs more Colors for sure.
