So I managed to get to Master 4 using only Juno and I have some ideas on how to improve her play style.
The main thing I want for her is to be able to shoot while her torp*does are charging up. The amount of times my teammates die because of the long charge and slow projectile speed feels horrible. I know the ability has to be bad, because people get aneurysms over “skill-less” abilities, but as of now, they’re a bit too weak and underwhelming for my liking.
Onto her survivability. I rarely die as her now that I’m a bit more used to her movement capabilities, but I’m still struggling with winning fights against flankers and dive tanks.
I know I’m technically not supposed to win since those are her counters and her gun can’t crit, but I think if one of her movement abilities or even her torp*does could give her some self heal, she’ll be able to successfully escape dicey situations or defend herself properly.
Buffing her damage was a curious decision, but I’d prefer if they’d just revert the rate of fire nerf for her gun. I don’t believe she needs to crit, because she’s simply not that kind of support hero.
Overall though, I adore her and she has single-handedly made me enjoy playing OW again. She’s fun, cute, and a breath of fresh air, because I haven’t liked the new OW2 supports. lol
Agreed with everything. I also feel that if she’s locked onto a healing target, and she tries to launch the missiles unsuccessfully (let’s say a teammate suddenly turned a corner or went into an untargetable state) she should get a reduced cooldown. It feels unforgiveable to me that such an important healing cooldown can go on an incredibly long timer through no real fault of Juno’s own.
If the targets were all enemies, with no valid healing opportunities at the time, then fine. keep the cooldown as is. But the idea that she can literally waste up to 14 seconds of time because her teammate(s) screwed her over is just laughable.
She’s fun but I personally have not gotten value from her so far. I know other support have though and she can really pump it out! I know this is super mundane but her sound effects sound irk me xD
I find her to be the worst support by a wide margin, at least for me. Which is a shame because her kit is fun. But, she is simply too vulnerable to flankers and dive tanks.
Pretty sure you’re not supposed to win fights against flankers and dive tanks with Juno, at least not solo. She’s supposed to run and avoid these situations. Blizzard has reversed course on the self sufficient support concept, so they’re trying to leave them with exploitable weaknesses.
She’s fun but man she can feel useless sometimes. Seeing all your allies ignore your ultimate is just painful to watch. Not to mention when allies dodge the healing torpedos.
The ult really needs a visual rework. Not just for telling if its a friendly or enemy ult, the colors sorta convey that, but more because its just to much clutter. I had a friendly Juno ult then heard an enemy Mei ult, but didn’t know where to go to get out of the Mei ult because the Juno lazer beam just covered everything.
