Why do you think they’re calling it OW2

To hide the fact it’s a big update

i actually bought a loot box from them to be gracious for their generosity and good nature. It was the only loot box i ever bought. Wont spend money on free 2 play. Skins are only worth a dollar at best. Limited time offer = Lack of respect and gets your game deleted. Advertise your overpriced content to me like im getting a deal an i will never buy anything from you company again the blazen disrespect of treating me like a baffoon is unacceptable

I paid 40 bucks for the game 6 years ago. I don’t expect anything for free, I got so much value over the years from a small purchase.

That’s great, you agreed to the terms of service just like the rest of us. They can change the game anyway they like.

The topic was saying people who paid full price for the game should get the first battlepass for free. Which I disagree with as 40 dollars 6 years ago was a steal for all the time many ppl here got out of the game.

I swear, this sounds like brainwashed talking. Its always the same boilerplate sentence that reads like “I payed and got such an immense, undenyable, immutable, incredible value that I will now buy into every piece of MTX in OW2”.

Pay if you want, blindly support blizzard for all I care, but I don’t care how much “value” I got with my $60 when they keep pushing out updates that make the game worse.

The amount of content and hrs ppl got out of the game for 40 dollars is a steal. The games you are speaking of from 20 yrs ago would be single player without any content added after they came out. With much less replay ability than ow.

You bought a license to the game; tho this is still unrelated to the topic of the thread.

Please tell me all about the year 2002 live service games with no subscription models.

Also let me know how much you play them.

Something I suggested is making the “and more” of the Founders Pack the ability to have instant access to each new hero without needing to grind or pay.

I certainly will not be buying everything in ow2. I can still acknowledge that at lot of us here got their value out of their 40 dollars and shouldnt expect some ow2 battle passes for free. Ow1 was very consumer friendly compared to other multiplayer pvp games these days.

What’s your point? At the end of the day ow has given a lot of content for 40 dollars over 6 years. Sure some people may have more hrs in other games that could have cost them even less. Everyone likes free stuff, but we certainly are not owed or expected to get free battlepass for buying ow1 years ago.

If you dont think 100s of hrs of entertainment that most ppl on this forum have isnt worth 40 dollars, idk what to tell you.

Again, you bought a license. They are changing the game in the direction they want to, you might not like it, but it is what it is.

You are the one who responded to me, where I was talking about the topic from the OP. Idc if you like the game or not, im not trying to convince you to like the game. Im just talking about the time people spent on this game for 40 dollars.

You can’t say anything positive or reasonable about OW or you’re a shrill/fanboy. You can’t say anything negative or you’re a doomsayer.

There is a middle ground, guys.

I’m against a lot of what Blizzard could potentially do with BPs, but I can confidently say I got my $40 worth from OW1 - no complaints on that front.

Where does this come from? Who says people spend less time on OW than the ton of single player games out there, or other multiplayer ones?

Also how many hours do you have on ow, where you dont think you got your 40 dollars worth.

I like how people here think they own their game but not realize that they are paying for access to play Overwatch and Blizzard can revoke that access when they want. You do not own Overwatch, you own access to it. You agreed to this.

That doesnt mean it wasnt worth 40 dollars for people. Most things in life are temporary, with that money they could have bought lunch twice instead of playing a game for 100s or 1000s of hrs.

Im just going off topic like you. I was talking about what OP said, with the free battlepass. Then you responded to me talking about how you think other games are better and can have more hrs of playtime, cool. Now its about other games being more enjoyable than OW? This isnt relevant at all to the main topic.

Glad you agree it was worth 40 dollars tho, which was my main point from the start, and why we shouldnt be given a free battlepass simply for buying the game full price so many yrs ago.
