This year event feels a bit too american

Baseball, eggball, lacrosse…

American football has been gaining worldwide popularity
Baseball is popular throughout the Americas
I’m fairly sure Lacrosse is equally popular across the world

Baseball is more popular in Japan than America. Lacrosse isn’t even popular. I have no idea what it even is and I’m American.

Hockey mixed with basket ball

That’s… interesting.

Baseball is pretty big in East Asia and Latin America, but I guess it’s “american” since it’s not popular in Europe.

What other sports do you want to see?

It really is an interesting sport. I’ve never played it cuz I don’t have any hand eye coordination, but basically the “puck” is a small ball thrown and caught from player to player with baskets tied to long sticks.

That ball is so freakin’ small how do they even see it?! :astonished:

Baseball is widely popular in the Caribbean and Japan. Lacrosse originated between native’s on the Canadian-American border region, and American football has been a thing in Reinhardt’s home country of Germany since they established the German Football League in 1979.

For D.Va and Ana, technically jet ski as a brand originated from Japanese company Kawasaki and Cabana isn’t American/Canadian.

You can never have to much Murica!

You got a problem with American sports or something?

I really don’t understand this hesitance to have a couple “american popularized” sports in the game when we already have: Track, weightlifting, soccer, hockey, and cricket.

Americans have some sports, other countries have some sports. People always gotta find something weird to be uncomfortable about.

Incidentally there is a team in the GFL called the Rostock Griffins (compare to the “Gryphons Champions” on Rein’s shield). Though I wonder why they chose to reference Balderich instead of using a lion?

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a golf skin for anyone yet (I think).
