Literally as said in Season 9 patch notes that they take older rankings into account. I have one rank since season 7 and that was silver as a DPS Solo where i quit after the required placement matches. I now since Season 9 did some competitive with a buddy double queing trying to figure out the changes doing our 10 placement matches. Meanwhile he got placed diamond 4 he never had a rank beforehand on any role as a Tank and i get placed Silver 1 again? Is this a joke? Literally the only game that puts me on a such low bar that i don’t even want to bother anymore. Fixed what exactly? this is the exact issue i mean , What exact stats does this crap take into account as a DPS player? DPS per second , i am the single person being literally slightly lower or on the same height as the second DPS but i have double the eliminations taking out requires picks? This game is a absolute insult to a point i can’t even take this serious …

Come to the QP dark side… it does not judge you poorly and give you the wrong rank. It does not cause the stress comp does. It does not punish your mmr for having crap teammates who throw.

It’s not even that , where does this rating come from? I have previous posts outlining the stupidity , meanwhile me picking off double supports means nothing but a silver rating every single game. Saying it’s a skill issue is false either i own literally champion rank in paladins , supreme for several years on CS:GO , top Diamond on smite and my main hero being mccree since the old overwatch 1 days since i love hitscan heroes. Putting me on such a low bar is a absolute insult , i would take low plat or gold 2 as a decent spot for placements but this is ridiculous.
Could be worse. I’ve been Silver3-1 in previous seasons as support. I have played two matches won both and one I was best support in the lobby getting 8k healing, 3k dmg, 11-22-1 as Ana. Blizzard says I’m projected Bronze 3 currently…yeah ok.
