Genuinely the most fun iv had on this game ever since overwatch 2 launched. Just nerf the tanks a bit across the board then release this mode as the official 5v5 format in comp. Im actually having a good time tanking with my buddy.

I could probably tank duo with my Sistah Spice, but then our solo healer would be somebody who did not even want to play support. That’s not likely to be a great time…

I like Limit 2, but to me it makes more sense to replace OQ with it. And go ahead and change it to 6v6 while we’re at it (but easing the limits on DPS and maybe supports, since max two tanks is the main thing).
Let people who prefer RQ keep RQ.

I find success in open queue. I’m always diamond or above and play dps unless it’s double filled

Agreed. I wouldn’t mind if this replaces role queue altogether. All they would have to do is tone down the tanks a bit so dps doesn’t feel as trash anymore.

i feel this aswell as a tank. I support this.
But my only concern is - if i dont have role que lock, i cannot play dps or heals.
I just dont enjoy it.
So basically blizzard is holding me hostage.
What if they had a slot where it was flex and you got to chose 1 role atleast and wait ?
i have to try it more later when im off work. how long will the experiment be?
I enjoyed the mode a lot. I like the limit 2 and having a tank partner just felt so amazing. I liked being able to quickly punish enemy tanks that overstepped, and it felt nice not being the complete center of attention the way that a solo tank is.

Tried it both with two tanks, and with one. It definitely felt harder to carry as a support against double tank, but had a blast either way.

Seems to me like open queue with a few guard rails against complete degenerate team comps. 2 tanks 2 healers seems like it’ll always be optimum but its balanced enough for a quickplay format that you can live without it. Also the race to lock dps wasn’t as bad as I expected, but that could just be because people want to play tank duos again. Way better than current open queue, but I’d rather just play role queue

I think 6v6 is better, but this is a start. I think it should be two tanks, 1 dps, and 2 supports tho. if we go this route. I think if this would be a permanent change supports need nerfed (damage), and rein should be a little stronger. Played him today in open queue comp and just got walked on. He dies too quickly out there compared to other tanks.
