Blizzard was afraid of the backlash they would receive from releasing a strong stealth hero, so Sombra was designed to have as many vulnerabilities hard-coded into her kit to make her be released as weak as possible. This was release day Sombra:
A flanker with a base movement speed lower than the other flankers.
A weapon with short fall-off range, low damage, and high spread.
An ability with a 1 second cast time that is interrupted by 1 damage.
A stealth ability that is interrupted by 1 damage, has entry and exit delays, and a loud voice line warning when used.
A silence ability that has a long list of ultimates, passives, and abilities that it can’'t affect.
A requirement of high coordination from her teammates to get results that other heroes can get on their own.
A play style that forces her to have a lot of down time that makes her team fight 5 v 6 frequently.
McCree is slower than Sombra and Lacks invisibilty and Genji has Projectiles which are hard to map out.
Your real job is to play split the team not frag as Sombra, Distract a few people than recall away split their team up or hack their Reinhardt.
You got me on that one.
Uncloak further from your target and make your way to them from behind if your team is doing their jobs than your target should be distracted.
Once again you got me.
Sombra is only really to divide the enemy team from the front line, distract the main dps long enough for your teams dps to overpower the Tanks, and push past.
Genji and Tracer are slightly faster than everyone else cuz “flanker”.
Disabling certain passives, ults, and abilities, means it’s bloated.
subjective.
subjective. I just think it needs a higher CD then I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

subjective.
and… subjective.
All of what you listed are unfun to play against, either by you or some general pool of players you made up.
However each have both far more drawbacks or far more limitations compared to hack.
Sleep, for example, is a skillshot. Hog you can see him toss it out as well as have your team protect you from it, or at the very least gives your team some ult charge.
Hack is auto-locking, and if, only if it gets pulled off, does it cripple heros.
To sum this all up, I say it’s bloated because of the exceptions and permissions it has, not based off of whether it’s fun to play against or not.
Not subjective. Also, I never stated unfun as a condition. Oppressive, in the context of my statement, is a level of danger or threat. Her hack disables access to kits, but doesn’t restrict movement or the ability to fight back. All of the other stated abilities do. That is objectively more dangerous than hack, unless you think not being able to move is less dangerous than being able to move? Also, I wonder how being killed by a one shot is less dangerous than being hacked? You have some weird concepts of danger.
Also, you act like her ability is easy auto lock. She has to meet the largest condition in the game, ie - she can’t be damaged while trying to use her skill or it cancels. No one else in the game has to meet such a condition to use their kit.
Hack was 1.2 sec cast time and on a 12 second cooldown.
You never used it for anything but hacking health packs, because it was unusable in battle, even when being “sneaky”. Translocator also used to be on a 6 second cooldown and she died for a certain time period after already translocating, if someone shot into her direction where she used to be. Her spread was weaker, she could hack less abilities and she had a lower timer on translocator where she could do things. But she had a stupid fast Ult charge rate going for her through hacked health packs.
Hacked health packs werent visible for teammates either.
I disagree. And seeing people try that in OWL shows how suboptimal that strategy is.
It’s still interrupted by the slightest damage…and you can’t even fire back when you get decloaked.
…Which is working out horribly, because she has the lowest pickrages and the lowest winrates even before Brigitte was released. Clearly that is not a way she should be played, nor is it resulting in her being viable. There are people with hundreds of hours on her (including myself) that know that there are heroes who can divide the heroes…and actually do something about them, more than Sombra can. And that’s the issue.
Why would I do that when I can play heroes that just kill stuff?
Rein and D.va are the only hacks that have a proper impact that no other DPS can provide by just doing 200 damage. And arguably a Lucio or Brigitte hack.
