Everyone I’ve talked to needed multiple explanations to understand it. Placements aren’t fun. Why make the season eternally feel like placements? Why can’t we find out how our rank changes until 7 wins/20 losses? Why 7 and 20? Just two random numbers. It’s bad when Riot Games is better than you at something.

what is riot better than blizzard? the only thing riot has done well over the years is a few characters like yasuo zed etc. the rest is at the bottom. The ranking system in these 2 games is completely nonsense and I say it as a lol player from season 5 I came back after a year still unplayable game only these 2 characters keep me in the game and valorant was dead before it came out
The ranking system. Placements, then you get placed. You see your rank. You win or lose a game and see how it affects your rank. In overwatch you’re edged until you finish your series. They had a good system before. Why add the 7/20 system? I thought it was bad but I thought it was just placements. No, that’s the entire competitive experience. Why redesign the wheel? Circle works.
