Ironic. OW1 was recycled from a fps mmo in two months. After release the game was intended to be like TF2 originally.

Yes, TF2. The game that’s literally unplayable outside of community servers and MvM because it is infested with hacks. The game that added severely unbalanced weapons that are straight up upgrades or downgrades of each other as opposed to side grades they were supposed to be. The game that gameplay wise is almost nothing like OW.

Great comparison.

thanks for elaborating about what you hate in the current game

It’s been playable again for a while now. Valve updates actually did something for once.

Right now as it stands.

Back 4 blood and Overwatch 2 are TIED for “worst sequal game of the year” awards.

With Dead by daylight Trailing as “Worst aquisition game” of the year awards.

"Really though. Its nothing like the originals , just like the other 2. "

Hunt: Showdown is plagued with Match maker issues and I think about the only 2 games on the block that seam to NOT have issues is Minecraft and DeepRock Galactic. Along with Payday 2, that still somehow seams to be afloat for over 9 years now.

and don’t forget good old TF2. Which probably won’t last much longer from its constant Droves of cheaters and their un-trained server operators that allow vote-kicks to salty players.

Im kinda surprised that Blizzard took the Approach that Mercury steam did, that sunk them on Spacelords and run with it as Blizzard’s primary business model for Overwatch 2.

Average hate thread made after getting owned.

I’m glad to hear that, might give it a go again soon.

Was Back 4 Blood a sequel? And don’t you dare say it was a Left4Dead sequel.

You haven’t played many games if you think this is the worst ever.

It was a spiritual successor if anything.

It’s funny because that could be true.

TF2 could probably and very easily just kick OW out of place, could have for yeeeeears… But it won’t simply because… Valve doesn’t want to do anything with the game.

“BuT THe ComMuNiTY!” Yeah, they do amazing things… However, that still doesn’t make it a supported game.

No game will ever come close to capturing what Left4Dead had. It’s the type of game we’ll only see once in a century :frowning:

Maybe it’s because I lack any emotional connection to PvP games, but I never get upset over the popular complaints others have about a game.

I just log off and go do other things. Then play again a few hours or a day later.

Sure, there are elements of OW2 that are annoying and frustrating, and there are things that are in dire need of changing. I just never get so worked up over them.

Hide chat, keep VC off, play your favourite hero and call it a day. Games like this will never truly be balanced.

oh man… those are fightin words jk jk…

I think half of us will say It was, and the other half will say it “isn’t”.

The claim stands in a legal aspect. If we took both games, set them right beside one another in a court of law. lets say a “Copyright court”. And the company is going to be fighting itself with one group and the other. Group A represents both L4D1 and L4D2 while the other group, group “B” represents Back 4 blood.

If they present both of us “the game” and we turn it on, Play it for 1 hour and look at it. and are to determine on the Jury whether or not it was an Infringed copy of the game.

The cross examination of both sides would be:

Both exhibit games, was a “fight a mob” game with a safe-room and the same texture packs and assets used. including the same baseline weapons kits. and User interfaces. Both games have this.

You have a team mate the falls. Either a team mate rescues them or the bot picks them up. Both games have this.

The enemies exhibit the same exact behavior traits and abilities as both games.

one game establishes its matches from the menu screen. the other game establishes matches from a “fort” or gathering area. That is the only difference.

So likewise its the same game. With just a few mild tweaks to its interface. But because most of the assets are borrowed. It would be a case that Group A would win Against Group B.

The case would more than likely have to side with Group A and find Group B guilty of Infringement of the other party.

I sadly never got to experience those games.

You’re missing a key component though. Left4Dead was, and still is to this day, a masterpiece of a game. Both 1 and 2. It transcended the simple level crawl genre and despite all its fame never even reached as high as it should have in popularity.

Back4Blood is a steaming turd sandwich.

I rest my case.

I’m genuinely sorry to hear that. I hope one day you are able to.

By far I would fully aggree Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2 were AMAZING.

I have about 1-2 hours on Back 4 blood. VS Left 4 dead series with several thousand hours on record.

Id say that Vermintide games are pretty good at following in L4D footsteps. Sure, they are not about zombies and more melee oriented, but otherwise gameplay is very similiar and its loads of fun.

I haven’t played them, but I’ve heard this before. I don’t think anything will compare for me. But I really need something to scratch my LFD2 itch every now and then.
