This is the living proof that Reaper cannot kill Hammond up close

As I was playing competitive, our Ana slept an Enemy Wreaking ball. I shoot as close as possible and almost empty my whole ammo clip as Reaper and look how much damage this character absorbed for breakfast.

I seriously think they should make the game more skilled like it was before and create fewer characters like Hammond and Brigitte.

Either Reaper needs a buff, or Wreaking Ball needs a shield nerf.
Give me your opinion.

Thatā€™s because he was under the influence of rally as well as had some shields remaining. You had to basically burn through like 800+ HP.

It only took you 6 shots to kill an armored hammond. Thats not even bad. Thats 6 shots to kill potentially 1200 shields/ health. On top of that he was getting health/armor from Brigitteā€™s ult so.

A bit of an off point but it literally showed you killing a primal Winston before that.

Also, reaper does insane damage up close it just that armor stops a lot of it so having absolutely nothing to counteract his damage is just unfair.

1300 hp Wrecking Ball is crazy.

I honestly wouldnā€™t mind if he got extra default shield health but got less from each nearby target.

Even then the shields strength he gets depends on how many enemies are in range when he uses the ability. Heā€™s designed to roll-in, disrupt and get out. Without those shields heā€™s as good as dead every time. Hell if there is a Sombra or Mei heā€™s already as good as dead even with max shields.

How bout neither given the fact that Hammond was under Rallyā€™s effect and was not slept, but rather stunned by Rein Ult. If he was slept by Ana, he wouldā€™ve woke up after youā€™re first attack. You also used about six shots to kill him, which is usually what I use to kill Roadhog as Reaper.

Please make sure to fully review your highlights before throwing things out.

Pfft as if Reaper is ā€œskilledā€.

Hammond requires way more than Reaper can ever dream of. And people like to talk about how easy Brig is but Reaper is at the same skill threshold.

Unless you think Reaper should burn through Tanks even FASTER than that. Which is, honestly, insanity.

Well obviously if reaper is a true tank buster he should be able to one shot tanks.

You right he was stunned, I did not notice when I posted that video. I just found it odd that taking 3-4 headshot in the head up close with reaper is not enough to kill a target that is not moving. I would understand if lucio used beat at that moment. About the rally ultimate, I think hammond was a little to far to get the healing armor.

Your first shot took the rest of the shield+a bit of armor, the next two headshots were into armor which massively drops reapers damage, the next headshot takes a massive chunk out of his health (looks about 200+) then you miss his head for the next shot so it does a bit over a 100 then heā€™s dead.

Couldnā€™t work out the last two heroes but this is into rally+inspire so this isnā€™t terribleā€¦

Iā€™m all for Reaper buffs though! Iā€™d like to see them tighten his spread so itā€™s a bit more reasonable at dealing with non tanks outside melee range + give him some smoke bombs on his alt fire =D this way heā€™s dangerous if he can aim, and not just immortal with crap aim and insane lifesteal.

Edit perhaps he needs a solid so you could live up to your battletag using him

I main Reaper and although I agree heā€™s much easier than most DPS characters, Brig is just no brain. Literally anyone can pick Brig for the first time and win 1v3s at lower elos.

In my opining, Reaper is fun as you need to be really aggressive and kinda stupid sometimes, Brig is just super safe and an easy way to annoy your opponents.

Reper has no issues dealing with Hammond.
They shouldnā€™t have give him the shield buff though.

Hammond is one of the highest skill caps in the game, tf you talking bout? Hammond had rally. Reaper is weak vs armor. If you want to counter Hammond play cc not reaper. Im a ball main and run circles around reaper. Low IQ post.
