From changing that you basically can play every new hero from the get go on a new account.
They locked them all again. 
Ohh and they are locked behind the Echo unlock. Which is the last hero you unlock on a fresh account.

And yep now I have to win 75 games in order to unlock her.

I think brand new accounts always had to grind to unlock all the heroes, didn’t they? Even the OG ones.
So I don’t think anything has changed.
It’s just that they’ll be unlocked by playing the game now instead of pounding them out in the BP. Or buying them later if you skipped the BP that had them.
Existing accounts who already had all the heroes unlocked will have all the new heroes immediately.

No they changed it before Venture Release, so that you only had to unlock vanilla heros. And got all ow2 heros from the get go.
Now they silently changed it up again.
Lol no it was always like this, when I created this account for OW2, I had to unlock all the heroes again

This is nothing new. They never reverted this. They simply said that you wouldn’t have to earn heroes in the battlepass. You still have to do the training to get the characters for fresh accounts.

ONLY VANILLA HEROS HAD TO BE UNLOCKED AFTER VENTURE RELEASE.
NOT THE NEW OW2 HEROS.
They removed the unlock challenges for all ow2 heros and NOW THEY ARE BACK AGAIN.
Oh wow that’s crazy? Have you tried playing in your main account. It probably doesn’t have this issue?

This doesn’t affect only me. This does affect every new player unlocking ranked for the first time and missing HALF THE SUPPORT ROSTER because of this nonsense.
Im really confused? Like since OW2 launch new accounts have always had to grind out games to unlock heroes? The OW1 heroes you needed to play 150 games total to get them all, and after you hit the 150 games you can unlock the OW2 heroes as well.
Like the only change that I know of was that OW2 heroes are no longer locked behind the battle pass. Now its just play X games to unlock hero
Yeah but you don’t care about that. You’re just upset your unranked to gm was postponed. Which just makes players want to pull out a tiny violin to play for you. You’re complaining about something that goes away if you just play your main. Easy fix.

I’ve had Juno unlocked since season 12 started. they changed it so that new heroes aren’t in the battle pass, I don’t think they ever said that they’d get rid of the unlocking through challenges.
This affects only fresh accounts.
Aka new players, that overwatch desperately needs.
right. because they don’t have x number of wins to unlock the hero. they said they’d remove the paywall of the battle pass. they never said the challenges would go away.
That’s been the same since OW2 launched.
Fresh accounts need to play/win games to get heroes unlocked.
It was their way at trying to drip feed new players information, without overloading them.
Not that desperate, if you compare their numbers to the so called wave of “killers” that are being released.
