At least some sort of compesation for only the nade getting nerfed is needed, nerfing both abilities is overkill i think, without even more compesation that is.

I know about Roadhog’s changes, but that doesn’t take away the fact that in game, the hero isn’t viable right now.
Taking into consideration that Ana is the support with the highest pickrate and that she has been meta for… I don’t know 3 or 4 years?
It seems perfectly fine to me that at least for one season Ana is left out of the meta, it is obvious that the changes proposed in this thread are not 100% viable and that the hero will need his respective compensation, but for God’s sake, Ana needs a big nerf from a long time ago.

like your tank gonna survive on 25 HPS on mercy healing them, rather go damageboost or healing someone else
also if i play ana and see my tank getting naded, i just go dps instead
if i play lifeweaver i will go dps or healing other target instead healing them for 35 hps
I don’t think these changes will make many people happy.
The sleep change only affects DPS, doing nothing to help against its effects on tanks whom it’s easier to land on, and a 3.5s snooze is still going to be a death sentence on DPS anyway.
Reducing healing by 50% is still going to be a death sentence in a lot of cases anyway. Harmony will do 15 HPS. Mercy will do 28 HPS. Ana will do 44 HPS. On a tank, that’s not going to cut it. It’s also a change that rewards the bigger, burstier healing out there - which is also the kind of stuff that’s frustrating for people to go up against and I’d like toned down.
I think Ana’s bionade is a symptom and not the disease. It can feel necessary to apply purple because sometimes, it feels like things don’t die otherwise. If sustain didn’t feel so high, bionade would naturally become less valuable.

Just high pickrate doesn’t translate into gutting nerfs, overall powerlvl of the character, winrates, specially on high lvl is what truly should be used, shes not even as strong as Illari and Bap on high lvl, she doesnt deserved to get gutted, dont think theres a character that deserve that lvl of a nerf currently.
Ana isnt even the meta on high lvls, thats also not the way to do it.
Burst healing exists in this game. Hog could self-heal for 175 hp. Transcendence would still heal a ton. Tree would be pretty decent. Double support could save people from the nade. And yes 25 hps >>>>>>>>> 0 hps lol. If tank gets naded and double pocketed it’s like if only one support would heal him now. That’s a lot better than if he received 0 help.
They could always try the Moira strat by making her healing with nade potentially more valuable than using it for damage. Her nade’s duration is 3.5s, maybe up it back to 4s for heals and down to 3 or 2.5s for anti?
