This is for healers high plat and below

Yall need to realize role q is coming. You need to learn to help pocket your DPS when its safe. If your DPS is in a good position to make some picks and your tanks are safe, TAKE A SECOND… to walk away from the safe space of your tanks and pocket the DPS for just a bit so he can safely get a pick or two and put on a little pressure. I’m tired of watching healers hand around the tanks 95% of the time when they can be more useful.

Edit: Yall Healers are so butthurt, im agreeing with half of you, the ones who come with something constructive, the rest just get blindly triggered.

Also, the amount of straw man arguments is staggering…Like…70% of the comments… Think situationaly with regard to my post and decided whether or not to comment.

I think it’d be more important to tell them that most DPS in that rank and below shouldn’t have a support in their pocket when they spend 60-90% of their time in a corner and hiding from their own team.

Keeping both tanks alive is more useful than one DPS, sorry bud.

I would pocket them… But I am a Baptiste one trick. So… Yeah. I am good, but not that good.

I’m not going on an adventure with a DPS, last time I did that I got stuck in a mountain with a fire breathing dragon, and unlike the fantasy story, the hero didn’t survive.

If they see this pattern in a dps player, then yes, ignore them. That’s the definition of a straw man argument and doesn’t address my post the way i wrote it.

On the contrary, I wasn’t arguing. :slightly_smiling_face: Most support players in the lower ranks will pocket an inactive widowmaker or dive in thinking “I’m the only one doing anything.” Providing legitimate advice toward the targeted readers isn’t a bad thing, right?

But, you know, I’m the one ignoring context.

To a small point, i understand.

I am actually pretty good at landing shots on Pharah or Genji, bankshots. All sorts of weird stuff. Just not to any degree of consistency. But as a DPS main myself, I am WELL aware of the epidemic where supports pocket tanks and ignore DPS. So they are going to get healed plenty… I just can’t pocket them unless it is like a McCree.

Yes, if, and 30% of the time when you are playing with randoms they are way out of position and gets picked before the fight starts.

I have no problem pocketing when it is safe, the thing is that DPS also wants pockets when it is not safe at all. There’s my issue.

If there is a Widow on the other team, there is no way in heck I am leaving my tanks just to help the soldier that split away from his team to try to 1v6 the enemy team.

All understandable points. If those behaviors are apparent, then obviously play to address those issues.

Thanks for the obvious advice, broski. Maybe worry more about how you can improve your own play.

Which is why I often stick to my tanks in games, because there is a lesser chance to get picked before the fight start if a DPS is out of position, but I do try to damage boost our Widow or Mccree for example when it is safe, and our tanks are not in any inherent dangers, as I mentioned, it is the DPS that constantly ask to be pocketed even if it would put myself in a great risk of dying.

But glad we can have a civil discussion about this, props to you.

People still cant read posts enough to comment on them.

Excuse me?

I read the whole post and made a comment.

You said leave the safe space. That means I have the potential to die and that’s what I highlighed.

You should practice what you preach and actually read

Once again, not READING my post. I said if tanks are safe and dps is in a GOOD position for picks. READ.

What is so hard to understand about a simple strat that will help peopl become better at the game, yet everyone would rather straw man me to death?
