either way, i think it’s nice. even if overwatch doesn’t have all the hype it used to, i think it’s a great way to re-introduce old fans or grab the attention of newcomers!

At least at this time in the game, really, what is the point? Mercy has a super low pickrate for GM and her winrate is near the lowest of all heroes. She doesn’t work in this super hardcore unfun meta, and everyone in my rank thinks she is garbage. It’s super fun to go Mercy in games right after a MERCY event starts just to be relentlessly flamed every single game by extremely toxic people. Like seriously? I feel bad for everyone trying to enjoy the event that has to deal with this.

What does any of that have to do with the fantastic Mercy skin?

Mercy has a decent pickrate in GM right now. And if by that logic, then Bastion should never get that brick skin. Like, Mercy just gets a new skin, what’s the big deal?You don’t even have to pick Mercy to get that skin.

Not everyone has the same experience. Plenty of my fellow Mercy mains that’s in the same rank as you are never get flamed for picking Mercy. It’s not Mercy’s fault you are that unlucky lol.

Meta is terrible, everyone is complaining that it’s unfun and even boring many times. New maps are terrible. No new real content. Balance is awful. CC makes the game unplayable for many people. Toxicity and smurfing are massive issues ruining the game.

But don’t worry, we got lego bastion!

But yea, you’d be correct in assuming by my logic that I don’t think bastion shouldve gotten a new skin when the game is a bad as it is.

They hardly ever have any new content, especially over this past year. This skin is the first new thing they’ve done for a while… basically since the halloween skins. And do you really think this skin took more than 5 minutes to think up and create? Hardly new content. Besides, new content is the least of the problems I’ve listed, even if it is one.

There was a story that got released based around Mercy, she gets her event for the skin specific to the story, but nah. It’s not enough.

It took a concept artist, someone creating the story, someone making the model, etc to yeah it took more than 1 person more than 5 minutes.

At this point if you don’t like it, dont wear it. Don’t like Mercy? Don’t play her.

Listen, I appreciate the event itself/on it’s own. At least it’s something and is better than nothing at all; but it’s a lot worse than what they could’ve been doing/focusing on. I’d rather the team focus on the important things, at least until the game isn’t in such an awful state. I’m even fine with a challenge with all the problems, but when we get multiple challenges over the course of the year and the game is still in such a bad state… I’m not fine with that.

And yea, even when they give us something like this, I complain. Because I’m not just going to sit here while the game has massive problems because blizz puts out a challenge like “here, we gave you something, now shut up”. Just cuz they give challenges doesn’t mean their game still isn’t in a terrible state.

Sadly these are separate teams. There is a huge difference between someone who does character design and modeling vs someone who does the coding and balance.

Your post is about people complaining about how you cant enjoy the skin because people will flame you (where as in my 200 hours of Mercy I’ve never had this happen) and then go on to complain about how “it only took them 5 minutes” in subsequent comments.

If you want to complain about the gamestate go right ahead, but this is just complaining about a free skin.

Blatantly lying for the sake of a “poor Mercy” topic. Her pick rate is fine. She’s the 12th most picked hero in GM and 5th most picked total. Yeah, why is the FIFTH MOST PICKED HERO getting a skin?

She has literally never been less than average in terms of performance.
