The majority of OW players like mobile heroes tho. Mercy, Genji, Dva, Tracer have always been some of the most popular. GOATs and Double Shield were some of the most universally disliked metas and they were two of the slowest and most static. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the Devs making heroes many players will find fun
And if a popular hero isn’t mobile they always have excellent gunplay (Widow, Cass, etc.) which is kinda hard to do on a Tank tbh

complain about it, they’ll completely change their mind based on your whiny opinion im sure!
He has an amazing cover distance with how fast his leap cd combined with climb.
Calling him not able to cover any real distance is a sham. He has a leap nearly as good as doom/winston.
Try playing him instead.

I have plyed him, and his range is just not good, and like I said once he gets there (eventually) hes a wet noodle.
Some of yall just do not understand what makes a tank, and it shows.
Literally this ^ he jumps around like a rabbit the entire match

I think you’re just bad then.
He has an amazing consistent damage with his block needler + shotgun. You can even slash + melee if you’re good enough.

I didn’t wanna be the one to say it but agreed

Ad hominem but ok. Some of you people are mighty rude for no reason. Sorry I have problems with your toy.
Same culprits as usual though
As if you’re any less rude, just because it’s the developers doesn’t mean it doesn’t count lol

I can say the same to you.
Cause honestly, it doesn’t matter how a tank takes space so long he does. Which hazard entire toolkit allows him to do so from his wall block and needler auto attack.

Um, clearly you’ve never been in the arts. Critique of ones work is not a personal attack. The fact that you think it is is distressing.

He is basically the Illari of tanks.
If 6v6 is coming back then we need more tank players, so they made sure to add a tank that will make the DPS players happy

I actually really, really shouldn’t be logging into OW until later but Aurora and others kinda hyped me up. I logged in to OQ QP hoping to get some duo tanking fun but it ended up being 122 anyway. Meh. That enemy Winston was Hazard as well until the very last point of the game. Our S76 kinda cleaned up but even so I enjoyed myself:
This guy is actually pretty damn fun and that’s despite forgetting that he had vault! Block is on a resource (1s CD or so to stop accidental useage etc.) and only does thorns damage to enemies within ~10m. Ice Wall was mega useful on Hanaoka and I screwed over a number of people with it.
It doesn’t actually matter that we’ve seen his abilities before because their combination and tweaks result in an interesting playstyle. So far, anyway.

This isn’t critique, this is mindless caterwauling about something you don’t like, that you think is bad, when you haven’t even given it a chance.
Stop crying and play the game. Or don’t! Your critiques hold zero value because you critique without experience.

See I just don’t know how this is apparently a common opinion. Like, was anyone really clamoring for the 3rd chotgunner tank?
Idk, It just feels like everythin he does, someone else does better.
Interesting you say this because to date I think hammond is the absolute worst tank design in the game, next to doomfist.

You might find him frustrting to fight, but there is no way you can’t acknowledge that his kit has never been done before in anythign really.
There are only so many guns out there. I guess I could go for another beam user but it’s not an issue for me.

Certainly, but sometimes inventive does not mean good. Like you could also add him into call of duty and it would be the most “inventive” piece of gameplay in the entire game, but it would also completely ruin the gameplay for everyone cause he doesnt fit the game very well.
Wow. I thought you were joking and then i checked…
Also they really need to stop releasing fat dps that does nothing for the team and keep calling them tanks
