I’m at the point where I think i’m just done with the game, back then (few months ago) I was at the point where I knew this game was in a bad state and would stay in it but I would still play it because there was still some fun aspects in it. I took a small somewhat break and now I’ve been trying SO hard to enjoy this game the last few days but I just can’t anymore. Nearly every match is a stomp, winning games doesn’t even feel good anymore, nearly every match is the same characters which provides no variety and this game punishes people who don’t like those things, the games logic is being in a paintball game against people with actual guns but YOU’RE the one who gets penalized for bad sportsmans ship when you don’t wanna be apart of it, like damn i’m just tired and wanna play a game where every player isn’t trying to eat each other alive.
This isn’t a “i’m leaving so I gotta make a post about it” kind of thread, this game will still remain on my PC as a husk, I do like to think SOMEDAY there will be competent devs who want this make this game fun but every season just stomps on that hope. And this may be a bad take but I think 6v6 “tests” are the final nail in the coffin, bringing back a good part of the game and saying its new then take it away for a mediocre 5v5.
As for the people who still somehow enjoy this game, there nothing wrong with enjoying it despite the state its in. I’ve played this game since closed beta as a console player and now here we are, its just sad to see the state of this game, again I do hope someday we gets devs who listen to people who wanna fix the game but we are most likely never gonna see that.
I’m still enjoying it, there is still nothing like brig in any other game after all. Nor Juno. Play a bit here and there, or with my friend in comp. Been playing a bit of mr as well.
Playing some other games. Just found out noita has a multiplayer mod excited to try that
Mostly just waiting for s15, though with monster hunter wilds coming out end of February that’s gonna take up a lot of my free time
Unless my buddy suggests a few QP games on a given evening, I’d rather do just about anything other than play OW solo. I continued to play ranked solo for years after my friends quit. Something changed a few months ago and I’m bored of it. Time is limited, lots of other things to do with my time, even if it’s not gaming. I’ll watch a movie or browse the internet.
I play maybe 5-10 QP games a week, as opposed to my old 15-20+ ranked games per week. It is what it is. In terms of enjoyment with friends, still a top 3 game all time

I had almost forgotten that you could actually play a game and have a tangible impact. Mahvel really demonstrated that I was just going through the motions with Overwatch and not truly having fun. And now everything is FANTASTIC! HA HA!
Yes, in the past I found it very tough to actually sit and watch a movie. I’ve been trying to do that more, as it’s more memorable than another hour, out of many thousands of hours, of the same Overwatch experience. Been mostly watching horror movies recently. Watched Saint Maud last night, good movie, didn’t really scratch the itch I have of being terrified. Even if it’s not movies, I just can’t do more OW at the moment. I’m just here for the banter
It’s the opposite for me. I never have to try. My teammates are useless. My enemies are horrifically bad. I can just exist and be better than everyone. As for winning? I just let the algorithm decide. I am done putting in so much effort and going 69-0 (true story, not a funny joke) and still losing. I get it. I am not actually delusional as the forums will imply. I fully comprehend that I am not able to win these games on my own.
Ironic, is it not? Skilled enough to never be threatened in any lobby. I can play whatever I want, however I want and maintain a clean 50% winrate… But if I truly want a win, I am not talented enough to decide that. Shame…
Season 9 almost killed it for me and Hazard has finished the job. The game is unbearable to play for any length of time now because of how broken balance has become and fundamentally unfair so much of the game feels.
Balance wise, this is one of the worst states OW2 has ever been in, and it’s concerning that this week’s patch addressed almost nothing of importance. I wouldn’t be surprised if the decision has already been made to go on life support.
I wouldn’t worry about it. The entire game is going to change next season. This is just to mix things up and try to retain interest. Is it successful in that regard? Eh. I guess? The people still playing this game are never going to stop. So whatever!
I remember starting the Witch (VVitch?) and giving up because I couldn’t understand a damn thing they said. I watch all my movies nowadays with headphones, and subtitles if necessary so I want to give it another go
