This game is so... rage inducing

it’s a team game, and half the population if not more aren’t here to be team players. That in itself sets me over the edge every time. And what’s the most frustrating is that it doesn’t take long to do this. It happens to me in game #1. Lately I’ve refused to solo heal. I think I’ve played healer for an hour this week. That’s what’s infuriating about this game. Add balance changes always being really extreme changes, for proof look up symettra, mercy, dva, roadhog, sombra, hanzo, and Ana. Their could still be more I’m not thinking of. And last but not least the fact that it seems like the team behind this is only concerned with the top 1% of players now that they have a pro league. So everyone else is now forced around a game not even for them anymore. My god that was a rant. I guess I had some venting to do. :flushed:

Frankly I’ve been really pushing myself to learn to solo heal with Moira, and it’s so indescribably improved my Overwatch experience because it gives just that tiny degree of cohesion to the team that you need to succeed… Like, don’t get me wrong, the lack of teamwork in the game drives me insane, too, but sometimes trying to be the change you want really pays dividends. If only everyone else got that too :stuck_out_tongue:

Didn’t expect to get this much responses, glad to know I’m not the only one.

Personally speaking, playing other similar games like Paladins, and a whole lot of other shooters and MOBA, Overwatch tilts me easily and the most. Not sure why.

I did that for awhile. In fact she’s the only hero that can solo heal I. My opinion but it gets old after awhile. Plus if their is the new popular dps Moira on the team. Now what?

Because it’s the best one. You want it to be better and watching it not is painful. It’s like watching a drug addict continue to lose to his addiction.

haha I didn’t say it would solve all problems  just makes it a little bit more bearable. But stuff like DPS Moira and whatnot are exactly what I’m talking about in that people don’t really get the whole teamwork thing, then get mad because the team lost and they want to peg it on some other person… Like, maybe, just maybe, you could try playing with the team?

I mean the thing about League is that it was at least ingrained into the playerbase’s culture that you should at least strive for a normal team. It doesn’t have to be perfectly optimized, but if you’ve got a top/mid/jungler/adc/support, you’re doing okay.

Compared to Overwatch, the players who say “screw you, I’m playing mid lane” are far rarer in LoL, especially since they brought out the Role Select system, I can’t actually remember the last time I got an auto-locker since they actually get the roles they want now.

Blizzard needs to stop pretending that the playerbase in solo-q is the same as 6 stacks. Quick Play is horrifically bad because Blizzard expects the playerbase to be selfless and the playerbase goes “nah, I wanna frag idiots”, and that mentality is slowly, but surely bleeding into competitive.

I think you misspelled “Rainbow 6 Siege”.

A thing that tilts me is when I’m being countered and someone on my team is playing the counter to my counter and they just aren’t doing it. You can’t switch because 1 hero limit and it would potentially lopside your comp.

and a large chunk of the player base doesn’t understand the game very well tactics wise and an even larger chunk can’t be objective about their own skill set or lack of said skill set. It makes for a brutal combination of delusions and arrogant thinking that is ripe for nerd rage.

the 6v6 team size doesn’t help either. IMO if the game had been scaled in size and balance for 8vs8 (or larger) it would of cut down on a lot of these problems. Making for a more fun battle game, but a worse esport like game. Sooo of course, we got 6vs6.

Don’t forget the gambling aspect that is lootboxes. It takes basically twice as long to get a lootbox from ranking up if you lose every game. And then when you finally get one you probably get a duplicate or one you don’t want. Sounds dumb when you consider it’s just asthetics. But looks are important.

I actually stopped playing this game because of this. I get back on every month or two to see the new skins and heroes, but the community and feeling after a couple game remains the same; Toxic.

Sometimes this game reminds me of Mario Kart (super nintendo) on that Rainbow Road circuit! xD So frustrating

Because most of the people you play with are around the 12 - 17 years dealing with hormones which makes them project their own insecurities and emotions unto others.

It’s a heavily team based game where people refuse to cooperate. Sometimes it even feels like an experiment: “Let’s put six strangers together and see if they will work as a team for a mutual goal.” The whole concept fails almost immedietaly on the hero selection screen. It’s fascinating.

League also has role selection when you queue so that get rid of a lot of problems

I agree… I’m about needing a break and going back to my pve MMO. Solo playing this game is a pretty frustrating experience

Yeah, that’s what I mean. But even before then when you had to call what role you wanted in chat as the game started, people insta-locking what they wanted, team be damned, were the exception, not the norm.
