Sums it up perfectly. I’ve lost major interest in the game due to the fact that it feels like a stripped version of Overwatch 1. Maybe Overwatch 3 will be better!

Yes the matchmaking sucks.
But it’s very fixable if the devs actually wanted to try to make the Support Role more popular, beyond adding Kiriko.
Well tbe MM is in shambles for other reasons than just players not wanting to play support. The only plausible reason why the MM has suddenly gained such a large net or rank range is a dwindling playerbase.
That is a harder problem to solve.
It’s going downhill faster than a fat kid on a bike.

It’s not the difficult to solve. Fix the basic matchmaking by making the Support Role more popular. Fix the monetization a bit. And then don’t botch the launch of OW2 PVE, and use that to pull a ton of people into the game. And then don’t fumble it, and make them all quit out.
But really, the easiest fix they could do is just do a ton of small patches every 1-2 weeks. And then write detailed patch notes for each change.
This game just has no reason for me to play in general. What do I get with loot boxes now gone? What am I playing this game for? Glad I’m not alone even if we have different reasons

Matchmaking sucks, feature removal sucks, rewards suck, “progression” sucks, Comp progression is the worst system I’ve seen. I don’t give a **** about skins but yeah, those suck too!
All it’ll take is a forum tier Ashe nerf to happen and that’ll seal the deal for me with this game forever.

This is Blizzard we’re talking about here. Actually Activision-Blizzard / Microsoft. They’ll invent a way to fumble it when it seems impossible. They’ll fumble it so hard it will create a new sport. Companies around the world will try to out fumble them to be the best fumblers of all time.
… yeah…
And I keep trying to get them to stop it…

Is MMR hybrid actually a thing in other games? Are they doing well?
Seems like another game created by former Hearth Stone staff called Marvel Snap has the same hybrid system and it too feels “rigged,” and I am not liking it.
I dunno, maybe its just me.
Ohh it requires effort and brainstorming. That already seems very difficult to be implemented with this current dev team. They seem to have no desire to tinker up the pvp segment of the game.
The silver lining is that we have to believe that all resources are focused on the PvE and because of that its going to wow us on how amazingly awesome and replayable it is…
We have to believe that because the pvp is in shambles, no energetic and meaningful changes are being implemented on this live service game. If the PvE is nothing short of extraordinary then there is something really wrong happening on the backstage.
People will unironically tell you “You play it for fun 
” as if the sense of progression doesn’t matter. I know, because I asked a similar question. Though mine was more like “Why should I play if I can’t earn skins?”.
As much as I think OW2 is fun, I certainly play it less since I’m not earning much out of it, and I’m not putting money into it so that the devs can earn. People would unironically tell me “You shouldn’t play it for the skins! You shouldn’t find them fun or engaging!” as if they can decide that for me.
Theres way more then just the match maker thats the issue with the game. The chars are bland, the matchess are predictable, new maps are garbo, push sucks, hard countering is the only way to play, tanks are raid boss’s, flankers have free roam cause lack of cc, one shots every game ect. The game is way worse then the end of ow1 and it seems to get worse every update.
These are the same people that believe you should only go to work for fun and not ask to be paid in money.
Which evidently they dont since they promised the support role changes and have thus far given them jack didley
