Let’s start with how the post-match sequence has changed over the past year:
scoreboard - turns off after victory/defeat screen
match chat - turns off after victory pose
PotG - plays if you stay in the match
cards - removed
progression - plays no matter what you do
Cards gave us something to talk about, while PotG is the same press Q or double pickoff.
Scoreboard shows what the team did, while Progression tells you nothing of what you did.
Lastly, we can’t even talk to each other after the match, but the reporting system is so effective, we’ll get chat banned for saying too much during the match.
It’s as if Blizz is intentionally redesigning the more social-oriented functions of the game to keep us from having anything to say to each other, because inevitably someone is going to complain about what was said.
Isn’t all of this the complete opposite of what has made online multiplayer games so great?

if i remember right blizzard probably removed post chat because it rarely was productive due to disruptive behaviors, same for general chat in game menus. scoreboard is just buggy right now. i enjoyed having a general chat while watching replays in ow1 but cant have good things if people are gonna abuse them
They also removed LFG feature for no reason at all and reduced the number of endorsements you can give.
More and more players seem to be totally turning off both text and voice chat and are not using them at all.
Yup, at least it does for me. But on the other hand my UI is broken in other ways. Several buttons are completely missing from my kb/m HUD - like to swap hero at initial assemble team screen, skip through the post-match progression, continue after I complete a purchase, etc. I have to keep a controller plugged in just for these moments.
Been that way since beta 1, and I assume it’s related to my custom bindings.
You can actually still see the scoreboard if you press and hold Tab (or whichever key you have bound for it) before the team victory pose shows. If you’re holding it down, it will remain up through PotG. If you were not already holding it down by then, it’s gone.
Why would you want to socialize in this game anyways? Pretty much everything you could say is incorrect, wrong, or offensive to the community, you’d just be falsely reported for breathing wrong at this point.
Medals were terrible and arguments due to them were the main reason I muted everyone, and the only thing I wanted after a game ended for 7 years was to get back into a game as quick as possible.
If they wanted me to be social, they’d add clan support and restart the queue within 10 seconds of the victory/defeat screen.
yea I miss game card where you can vote, that was so fun.
Instead now they bomboard you with a million of useless progression page. smh
The scoreboard was a bug I hope they fix it cause it’s annoying af.
