This forum is using Tracer as scapegoat

There are tons of people complained about Brigs, those included tank players, dps players, and even support players.
If my observation served me right, the people who complained about Tracer also think Brig is oppressive.

No hero in history has been used as a scapegoat for another hero nerf excepted now.

When Road got nerf, do Road players complained about Reaper as the reason for their nerf?
When Bastion got nerf in just several days, and the rework effectively changed him, they didn’t point finger.
When Widowmaker got nerf, do they complained about Tracer and Genji as the reason for their nerf?
When Junkrat got nerf, do they put the blame on anyone at all?
When Doomfist got nerf, all I heard is “Doom is gonna be too weak now”, did they put the blame on anyone?
hanzo players are also surprisingly quiet when Bliz nerf him quite a bit due to his overbuff state.
When Ana got nerf - Ana mains are very neutral in general.

When Mercy got nerf - “it is the fault of dps mains”, “It is the fault of genji and tracer mains”
When Brig got nerf - “it is the fault of Tracer mains”

This is something I really need to get it out.

Your logic is backwards, which makes it wrong

No one is saying Tracer is the reason for the nerf.
They are saying Tracer will no longer be countered if brigette is nerfed.

You really need to think your posts through a bit more.

Perhaps so, one here and one there, you know, there is always that one person, but not on this kind of huge scale, it’s like a mass mantra.

This isnt going to change much for tracer. People will realize it if the changes ever make it to live.

I can recall seeing some threads from some of the Ana mains (and other mains) who have expressed how Mercy needs to be nerfed to make Ana more viable, after the triple tank meta and Ana recieved her own nerfs. Of course, I believe this has only gotten worse since the rework where Ana was nearly a troll pick.

I’m not saying that all Ana mains have been doing this, but I certainly do recall the topic of “Nerf Mercy to Make Ana viable” being a hot topic for some time. Even after her sledgehammer nerfs. :blush:

All I’m asking for, is bash to do 10 dmg instead of 5 dmg, or Tracer gets a nerf. Your choice.

I’ve seen people blame tracer for having one shots like road hog and brig nerfed. I be seen people throw zen under the bus for helping mercy get her nerfs. Because zen synger with mercy made to where the two of them together meta for ever.

Not at all.

I also remember the huge Ana’s nerf in triple tank meta. Mercy was a troll pick, so a lot of mercy players demanded for Ana’s nerf.

So fair enough, that’s one case.

Well let’s see:
Formerly: Shield Bash + melee + Whip Shot = 155 damage = dead Tracer
After Nerf: (bonus Melee) + Shield Bash + melee + Whisp Shot = 145 damage = just 5 damage short of killing Tracer.

I’d say it was designed specifically to not kill Tracer even with an extra melee.

Brig’s nerf doesn’t even stop her from hard countering Tracer (she can still make Tracers useless with armor, burst heals and stuns). It mainly stops her from frontlining as a DPS and flanking.

I’m just curious, did you pick this up yourself, or did you read someone else saying it :wink:
