I just did the following to test it–
1.) Changed my icon in-game to a Lifeweaver icon
2.) Logged out of BNet in my internet browser
3.) Logged out of the BNet app on my PC
4.) Rebooted the PC
5.) Logged back into BNet on my internet browser
6.) Observed that I still have a Brig icon here

I remember complaining that they took so long to put this Mercy icon on the forums, and now it’s been years and I’m stuck with it.

Im stuck with a default icon too. So yeah, no clue either.
Another thing that they should do is give us a way to fast-track clean up our OLD posts, so we can help avoid these NECRO threads that keep popping up here and there.
I’d like to go and clean out about 80% of my posts that are no longer relevant to this game.
This is abandoned place where only ghosts of the players shouting in the deep nothingness
At least youre stuck with something decent…

My actual profile pic is an Ana one… I’m good with never updating it for the forum

Yeah, I’m so sick of this icon. I used it for like a day and I’m stuck with it.
Be careful what you wish for I guess haha

I think the majority (if not all) of the OW2 profile icons do not show in the forums for some reason.
Too hard to code I guess.
I used this icon for less than a week and got stuck with it…

It’s the age of ship now fix later so I don’t understand why you’re doing the surprised pikachu face. Almost all companies now do the whole CI/CD song and dance that sounds good in theory but in practice means “we’re going to ship broken stuff and we’ll figure things out as we go”. Patience and excellence don’t really work in turbocapitalism. To make things worse gamers are now paying to get early access to broken games which is the definition of insanity. Board meetings nowadays at game companies: “Fire those testers, why pay THEM when people will pay US to test the game we sell to them at a premium.”
Imagine having a Christmas tree year round…
