After the patch, Guardian Angel will not automatically launch Mercy into the air, but it will now have a meter that charges while the ability is active. When cancelling Guardian Angel with Jump, Mercy will now be launched into the direction she is facing. The more charge she gets during the ability, the more momentum the launch has when she cancels it with Jump. We’re looking forward to seeing how the community engages with this ability in the beta to get Mercy ready for the Overwatch 2 launch!
Are they serious? All they have to do is reverting her SJ to the previous mechanic with some tweaks. They are so clueless.
It’s almost like, in order to fix queue times, they need more Support players than the current amount of people playing Support in Overwatch 1. Much less the 5-10% of Mercy players that can proficiently use SuperJump.
They need returning 2016-2017 players, they need TeamFortress2 Medic players, they need DPS/Tank mains that are offroling, and gasp… “new players”.
Complex but so long as it can be consistent without mucking up the original mechanics.
This sounds like it can either be really good or again really bad. With the vague wording of how the directional aspect is going to work, I can see this once again causing more unintentional jumps than the current one.
The one in OW1 is just fine this is making it too easy or messing up already established mechanics.
On the flipside, it’s basically going to be so intuitive that you got people doing it by accident. Then they will have it figured out within 5 minutes, without ever having it be explained to them.
Do you…do you not know what the difference between superjumping and bunnyhopping is?
You sure sound like you dont.
Bunnyhopping is when Mercy using the jump button during a ga to launch herself horizontally at a faster pace.
Superjumping specifically launches her vertically in a arc and it doesnt xome with a boost.
I do not understand why you are being so headstrong here when we say that adding superjump specifically as simply pressing jump during ga wouod cancel out bunnyhop because it will.
This sounds horrible. Imagine you have to look up each time you want to superjump vertically, Otherwise you’ll be thrown horizontally more than often be slingshoted to the enemy.
Which is legit a horrible way of going about it.
Mercy’s kit for the most part involves looking around at teammates loosely. Havibg to look at the sky to go up is counterproductive.
