Do you think the devs have seen my heroic defense of 5v5?
This doesnât surprising to me considering some of the balance changes they make and the things they add to the game.
I donât believe them, theyâre only saying that to placate us.
Almost everything anyone from Blizzard says is a lie. Itâs like trusting the guy from the online marketplace thatâs scammed you 12 times in a row ânah bro this oneâs legit fr trust meâ.
Ignore? noâŚâŚthereâs just very little reason to engage with us on here since A) people only want to hear what they want to hear and B) everything they say gets twisted anyway and then just gets used as ammunition for more negativity that doesnât help
They do not read the forums. Nobody from their team posts here anymore. They have not looked at this place in 2 years. If they read the forums its more of an annoyed glance and then they go back to social media.
Edit: There are reasons for it. While people here can be negative, people in every other place are equally negative. So really they are just choosing the places with the least likely chance of âtoo much back lashâ. Even though it really is as simple as saying: âSure weâre going to go back to 6v6 but we mean it, weâll deliver the PvE sequel and we mean it, weâll remove invulns, rez, and anti to make the gameplay in PVP better over all and we mean it, and we will remove the shop and BP from the game!â If they just listened like they claim they do lolâŚ
She couldâve just avoided my question entirely as she was being asked multiple questions at the same time, but she chose to respond to mine specifically in a sea of messages.
Average Youtube/Twitch commentary content. There were also others about monetization, moderation, and 6v6.
Donât need to. We all know itâs Buddah
I donât think itâs that unreasonable to have that perception, since many creators push that belief as well as the devs themselves on multiple occassions. Forums definitely has a bad stigma attached to it.
It wasnât as simple as a response as I put in this post, I just paraphrased for simplicity.
Right. Me the devoted cash cow who has never spent a penny on this game.
Yes, unfortunately. It gets quite a few responses, so I would not be surprised if they did.
I can see that and I donât think they even remotely deserve the trust of the community, but at least it provides a little more incentive for me to share my ideas on the forums instead of just keeping it in my head.
I mean, the same could be said about any of the other platforms.
they will claim they read the forums when they likely dont they cater to stinking flats and one other content creator what we say means NOTHING to them
They always do
We cry like babies for our beloved rants, but for them is all data collection
And it is very important; specially fo Free Live Services in the social media era
I wonder if the devs have seen my advanced gameplay analyses on the state of Hanzo
Man they really keep giving interview content to one of the worst people eh
They themselves give too much power to these streamers and cornered themselves. So now they cater to these streamers non stop. Thatâs why the game is terrible.
I hope they should start sharing stats so these streamers canât influence public this much. Since we donât have any data, itâs just free to speak any bs you want.
That buffoon flats guy cried everyday for Rein buffs and now Rein probably have over 60% winrate and that is ok for devs because how these manchild streamers influence the community.
I also have to play against stacks every single match because Flats canât maintain his rank without getting carried by his friends.
NO They f ###ing dont sombra being in the game disproves that
They regularly post on Twitter, upload videos on YouTube, hold AMAs on reddit, and do livestream interviews on twitch. Meanwhile they havenât interacted with the forums in years. Itâs clear if they care about their forums itâs very little.
Ignore as in generally donât interact with. But they can still read them, and Iâd be shocked if they didnât tbh.
Iâd say they data mine the forums rather than read them. Probably mostly to gauge sentiment.
Lets face it, if you were a dev, and you were looking at the forums, and you were just skimming topics, what would you see?
BUFF XX Char
Nerf XX Char
Char is too strong
Char is too weak
I donât like this because of XX
Finally, you did something good
Oh, worst decision ever
Why donât read the forums?
Garbage game!
Why doesnât Overwatch do what THIS game does
etc etc etc
Just pages and pages of people lamenting about the state of the game, any proponent to anything is immediately lambasted by the forum regulars. People spew out nonsense as if it were fact, people spew out sense and get slammed, I mean itâs all over the place.
If I were a mod on these forums, Iâd probably be in a corner curled up into a ball consoling my inner child asking it who hurt them.
Only way to test that is if we put in Coupon codes to their local in-house starbucks shop and see if they get redeemed
Hey, that would actually be a POSITIVE reward for them
kind of an incentive to READ the forums. and it would be only exclusive to very close proximity places within Blizzard studios Irvine CA.
They check forums, they get rewarded. Win-Win.
âPositive outcomes are better than Negativeâ
This is the same feedback that can be found in all the other places they consistently check too, like Twitter, Youtube, Reddit, and Twitch. I donât see why it would be any different than that.
Thatâs funny, but also a bit concerning ngl. Someone could very easily do some bad stuff with that.
Those are a lot of the topics of threads in the forums, sure.
But some are relevant to certain topics that need attention. Like this one for example:
Lack of Venture Skins - General Discussion - Overwatch Forums (blizzard.com)
Sure, its probably just a coincidence, but there was an update that Venture will get a skin in Season 14:
Venture Skin Update - General Discussion - Overwatch Forums (blizzard.com)
It would appear that some popular topics on the forums are reflective of topics discussed on other social platforms such as Twitter and YouTube.
