With the Avatar collab. I have to say now that I see the skins, I really like them. There’s a lot of neat details like Orisa’s spear being Aang’s glider. And there’s a lot of other nice things in the bundles.
I was initially very worried about the collab because it didn’t show Katara and there was no Sakka. But now we know Mei is Katara.
This definitely one of the better collabs that they’ve done.
The trailer was amazing. They really captured the “feel” of an avatar episode in it

I think they put a lot of love into it, esp the emotes and highlight intros. I feel like there’s a lot of sheer content lol–title, name cards, like 5 weapon charms, icons, sprays… etc etc etc.
And I’ll give them props for that bc at first leak I was worried.
I actually prefer these over “play 15 games as tank and no: wins don’t count as double prog”
I do not want to take credit for this, but I totally manifested the Appa skin and her spear. Just Saiyan.
This is like the first time it feels like we are actually getting fanservice. The developers are clearly fans of the source material unlike the other collabs where they barely tried.
You’d have a point if that one even exists now besides the all role challenge ones.
It was in the classic overwatch event like 5 minutes ago, so idk… I think it’s comparable as an event challenge

To each their own. I really like the skins. And aside from this one the Le Sserafim collab is the other one I really liked. IMO most of the other collabs they just didn’t do as nice a job on as these two.
I don’t like the skins outside of Mei’s,but glad you like em. Hope they come with nice effects for the people that do want them.
i have no plans on getting the avatar skins though this game is eating at my soul
