After playing this patch it’s quite clear that the point of it was to increase DPS impact on the game at the expense of tank players survivability (Mainly).
But then again, I don’t even think most DPS characters are better off with these changes. The biggest ‘winners’ are: Widow, Sombra, Tracer, Soldier, Hanzo, Sojourn, Bastion while the ‘losers’ are Pharah, Genji, Cassidy and Junkrat which are all worse off from these changes.
The biggest loser honestly are all the supports that now basically have a 20% healing reduction in most fights so have lower impact on changing the outcome of a fight.
However, biggest winners are Baptiste, Kiriko and Zen with immortality abilities proving to be even more powerful while Discord just melts things faster with less healing given to a target.
Biggest loser for supports is definitely Mercy and Lifeweaver, which both basically are healbots while Lucio and Moira definitely suffer from the DPS passive (Amp it up struggles to keep teammates and Lucio alive now and healing ball isn’t as clutch as it used to be).
As for tanks, Roadhog took the biggest hit (obviously) while shield tanks seem to be more useful as slowing the game down seems to give time for your supports to let your team recover. Can’t say it feels more fun playing shield tanks though as you die faster now.

Tanking is legit about not taking damage at all. If you don’t play a tank with insane mitigation potential or health pool, good luck.

Not necessarily. Some tanks are meant to soak up damage to allow your team to play the game (Rammatra, Doomfist, Roadhog) those are the mains tanks that will suffer from this patch I think.
Alright, let me rephrase my statement then. Tanking is back to bulletsponging with damage mitigation that doesn’t involve your hp too much and not really about making space by aggression or damage threat. I can tell you, Queen and Zarya are almost unplayable right now because they can’t bulletsponge as they have to means to protect themselves too much and they can’t kill anything because higher enemy hp as well as bigger hitboxes of projectiles hitting them.

Isn’t it easier to get charge now though
Not particularly. Things don’t do more damage, they just hit more often. Still, you need to identify the right damage sources and people need to actually pull the trigger. And quite frankly, the charge isn’t that useful anymore because you still do the same damage, but everything has more hp and you can’t walk forward to kill something because you die too quickly yourself. You have to expose yourself more to secure kills because enemies are sturdier, but you can’t expose yourself too much because if you try to go for kills, you get clicked very hard. It’s almost impossible to secure kills now unless the enemy lets you. The beam width change is only necessary if you didn’t have good tracking. I literally do the same damage as before because I have honed my skills enough to have good tracking. It adds a bit consistency, but not really significant extra damage potential.
Trust me when I tell you, she is not worth to be played right now most of the time.

I guess since hitboxs are bigger you can accidentally shoot bubble more? But I think bubbles hit box was big enough already that if you were feeding her it would hit regardless in the past.
