In many clips, you can see people in bronze who do seem pretty terrible. However those people are in people who are under 1000 sr mostly. Should they have a rank lower than bronze? In my experiences people over 1000sr are actually not that bad

I honestly wouldn’t mind at all if they made a rank like this. Being in “wood” league could be like “yeah okay that person clearly just plays this game for fun or goofs off”. I mean I know people would still talk trash, but at that point, it’s like “I’m in wood league and you’re giving me a hard time? Now you’re just being a bully” lol
That and “wood league” is just such a funny name to me.

Bronze is about 2% of all comp players, it’s already a minority. Making another rank below it would be pointless.

High bronze right now has a comical smurf problem. I keep running into widows that land nothing but headshot after headshot after headshot. I get ladders get better but bronze aint this good. These are clear plat plus smurfs.
I just want to practice some new heroes. I feel absolutely TERRIBLE for legit high bronze players you are getting shafted by some clear sandbagging plat plus players slumming it up on their mains.

I don’t disagree but to be fair 8% of the player base was in bronze last time they gave us an update. Which is double the amount of players in masters and gm combined.
they should just remove ranks entirely and give us the formula for SR.
1000-1500 Bronze
500-1000 Iron
<500 Rust

right now sub 500 is just labeled as <500 blizzard figured out that most people sub 500 were intentionally deranking.

I have never been in bronze so I do not know if this is even an issue. I imagine in bronze you really only need one good player to win the match.
They have a top 500 why not a bottom 500.
Because people would be trying to achieve bottom 500, and that would be the exact opposite of competitive.
Some people already do that though. I think below 500 is a select group of players who compete for the lowest rank.
